Thanks to the jack Benny program, there's actually something to watch on TV. These shows are top notch!!! ...

Yes modern TV can reach new depths of insufferable nausea and blatant anti-white racism while those of us with taste can always fall back on classic TV.

The Jack Benny program reminds me of my dear Dad! He loved humor and he also liked The Jack Benny Show. Gisele MacKenzie does a fabulous job singing, "You'll love me so much better in button and bows" : ) "East is east and West is west" : ) Thanks for posting!!

Gerald Mohr, playing Tombstone Harry here, was the insurance investigator Johnny Dollar on the radio program "Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar. 😀😀
@fromthesidelines Жыл бұрын
He *auditioned* for "JOHNNY DOLLAR" in 1955, when the series became a nightly 15 minute serialized program. However, Mohr was busy filming the syndicated series "FOREIGN INTRIGUE", so the role went to Bob Bailey. Gerald WAS "PHILIP MARLOWE" on radio from 1948 through '51.

@@Outlier999 Mohr was a guest on an episode of jack benny's, where he was a renter in Jack's house while Jack's hot wife was fooling around with Mohr. Mohr showed that he was a good dancer too. A funny episode.

@@janwilliams1270 I saw that. Jane Mansfield was the wife. Dennis O’Day was their stupid son. Benny’s character was going to get the electric chair. He was sick of his son’s stupidity so he tried to shoot him in the head. The bullet bounced off the son’s thick skull and killed Mohr.

Robby Combs was 20 in 1967 and 72 now. Either so full of drugs then that he can't recall Vietnam or suffering from dementia now. More likely the later since he is a typically confused trump voter. Sad.

Meanwhile Jim crow was still in effect, blacks couldn't vote and were oppressed, gays couldn't come out or risk being fired or killed and and the civil rights act wouldn't be signed for another 20 years, and the hayes office still was censoring tv and film till the 60's. i get that it was a fair time, but only for some...
