It's a privilege to travel with you. ❤ Edit: overwhelmed by the comments, thank you so much. Jenny and Kyle have inspired me to document my own journey, so ill do that soon on here. My sweet granddaughter had a rare cancer of the brain lining never seen even in children before; only seen in adult women. That was in October of the year. St. Jude operated, removed the cancerous tumor, and learned the devastating news that the cancer had gone beyond the lining and into the brain. This was 17 years ago. Proton beam was so new. There were like 5 or 7 places in the US that did the proton beam therapy and primarily only on the prostate. It took until Feb of the following year to find any place that would undertake proton beam on a 2 year old's brain, Mass General in Boston. (The cancer was between the eyes in a very delicate and hard to get to area which made it even harder.) My granddaughter just finished her Freshman year at Northeastern University in Boston!!!

Same w/ my mom. Way back in ‘92! They had zero cancer drugs, and she had CML. I was 16! They said 3-6 months, and she lived for almost 5 years. At least she saw me get married, and pregnant, but she never met my oldest, as she passed when I was around 6 months. She was only 51. I’m now almost 48, she was diagnosed at 46, and I have a lot of health issues (father had Agent Orange, he’s passed, too.) I only know what it feels like for a child losing her mom. I can’t imagine if this were my spouse. That is a much different relationship.

Looking back, this is the first video that really makes me sad. You can tell she’s starting to enjoy (this is not the correct word but I can’t think of one that brings the compassion I’m looking to add) drifting away; sleeping, the pain and anxiety meds. She wants to keep fighting for her family but it’s getting hard. Kyle wants to go to dinner and fight for more time but she’s had enough. It’s so hard to watch; I can’t imagine living it. Such a change in her over 1 month. And I say this as a doctor. 12:42 he had just talked about focaccia (you can tell by his reaction that he’s starting to realize he’s losing her in my opinion) and she has no interest, understandably so. Nor in Hawaii. What a strong, compassionate guy. She’s such a warrior. This is the only couple that has ever convinced me of true love. I hadn’t believed in it after what I’ve seen and been through.

@@gwyn6907 maybe I didn't understand thoroughly, but it sounds like this is a new therapy she's doing. It may not heal her, which is why I started my comment the way I did...but you never know. My uncle did radiotherapy as a last resort and his lesions are still there, but they completely stopped growing. They don't know why exactly. They show up on scans, but it's like they're stagnant. I'm just saying, hope is there. Even if it buys her 2 more months of life than expected, with her children and husband, that's amazing. Staying positive and hoping for healing for her.

My sister -in-law too! She had ovarian cancer. They gave her not very long and she lived 6 years. Her and her husband sought out alternative treatments from Germany in a clinic in Michigan, but none of that was covered by health insurance. She wrote a book and illustrated it called "Chemo Fairies". She visualized the treatment attacking the cancer and drew the illustrations, 1 for every treatment. She passed away suddenly, waiting for her husband to pick her up from the German clinic, in their waiting room. 😢 We miss Pamela a lot. My husband is the eldest sibling and she was next oldest. All of the other siblings are still here. Pamela passed less than a year after her mom, who died of primary biliary cirrhosis (non alcoholic cirrhosis), but from a blood transfusion in the early 1960s, in the early 2000s. I'm praying for them too! 🙏🏻❤️

My mother was told she had six months to live (she was 79 years old) if she didn't get chemo and radiation. She gave the doctors the middle finger and did NOTHING because she knew what a joke cancer treatment was and the greedy nature of the medical establishment . She was frail and didn't want to be tortured. How long did she live? SEVEN YEARS with NO treatment. Just a few aspirins and 4 glasses of wine in the evening. She died of pneumonia. Cancer is a big industry with little results and it's a crime that they get away with poisoning people with that garbage. I encourage everyone to go listen to Dr. Thomas Seyfried he has video's on KZbin. Cancer treatment is a ketogenic diet, a drug called DON and some anti parasite drugs like fenbendazole and Ivermectin.

Unfortunately, she had been following a well known “healing” ministry mega preacher and was convinced it showed lack of faith if she did the treatments. I fully believe in prayer for God’s healing but also strongly believe in God using medical means for healing. I have seen it in my own life! But it was her choice. She passed in 3 months. Jenny isn’t getting treatment for lung cancer at the moment. She has leptomeningeal disease. It’s a cancerous fluid build up between the membranes that cover the brain. The fluid puts pressure on the brain and flows up and down the spinal column including the central nervous system. Proton treatment might lessen the pressure on the brain but there is no cure for the disease.

Both can make a person sound tired, flat, depressed, etc. They also suppress the appetite a great deal, which can result in weight loss. Pain meds should only be used as needed, because if they are used to prevent pain, the appetite can remain depressed all the time, which leads to weakness. I don't see Jenny as defeated at all. Kyle. Unsolicited loving advice: ❤ 1. It is NOT too early for pain management and /or palliative care services. Palliative care doesn't mean hospice. A lot of people graduate off of palliative care! 2. Eating dinner out right now is obviously not appealing to her. Get take-out. She wants to imprint on those precious babies by spending every minute possible as a family! She doesn't want to waste a minute of her life in a restaurant. And she has no appetite. 3. When you fill out those stupid medical forms just write NA beside the family history crap or leave it blank . I am a nurse & I know those questions are only for finding out her risk factors.... that's irrelevant at this time. 4. You are an awesome husband!

**PAIN MANAGEMENT** Hi, Jenny & Kyle. I'm a retired Hospice counselor and wanted to pass along something I learned and observed in my patients. Many people are afraid if they begin Hospice care it's admitting they have a terminal diagnosis and sometimes believe they'll die sooner. Research, as well as observations of Hospice employees, indicate the opposite ie. many patients live longer. The reason is Hospice management of pain. Pain places tremendous stress on the body, causing it to tighten; when one is pain-free, the body relaxes which greatly relieves stress, physically and mentally. One of the goals of Hospice is to keep their patients as pain-free as possible and I have witnessed that personally. Good pain management requires one starting at a certain level of strong medication which is increased gradually as the patient needs it. Non-Hospice Drs. generally will never prescribe/administer this type of medication for pain control, saying the patient will become addicted. Hospice believes that's not really a valid issue as the goal is to keep the patient's pain under control so she will enjoy the time with family/friends instead of feeling horrible due to pain. I saw a poster on your previous video encourage you to get into Hospice sooner than later so you can benefit from their services more. I totally agree. Going to Hospice and when to go is a very personal choice. One has to have stopped all treatment to do so, which is another consideration. I've been following your journey but haven't posted. Seeing Jenny in such pain prompted me to do so now to share this information with which I totally agree having worked with many cancer patients. God bless you both and your family.

I’ve had three family members use Hospice at my home and they are angels on earth. You do have to give up treatments and that was hard for my sister to understand because her cognitive abilities were being compromised by brain tumors. Her cancer started as non small cell lung cancer and moved to her brain and spine. Her original oncologist gave her 4-6 months without treatment. When you’re 49 and given a diagnosis like that it is very devastating. Her radiologist was more optimistic and told her no one has an expiration date stamped on the bottom of there foot. She lived almost 5 years after radiation and surgery. Good luck with the new treatment. Jenny sending you prayers for a successful treatment. ❤

So true my mom was in pain up until the last few months toward the end from lung cancer. We brought in hospice and they did an amazing job of keeping her pain free. She had some great weeks up until she passed. I am praying for Jenny's complete healing and cancer free in Jesus name.! ❤🙏 Jenny you have a great husband and family by your side.

Always know you aren't REQUIRED to be "positive" here. Allow yourself to grieve and feel your feels as emotions hit you in waves.. Take time to spoil yourselves with things you love and try to take things in small pieces. It can be overwhelming to envision months out. Just today. Just this moment in time. We 💙 you guys!!

I am 53 now and God has been good to us.Its not easy but I use to say to myself when I didnt think I could make it one more day that there is light at the end of the tunnel and its not a train. I keep thinking about how Winnie couldn't stop crying at Target or Ellis couldn't pick a toy. My heart is breaking for them. Dear God please help them through this. 🙏 I did see Kyle's, post. Kyle your ability to explain procedures/medications Jenny is doing/taking is amazing. I can imagine years into the future people will turn to your videos for guidance if they are in the same situation. Your videos are so raw and so honest. You are both truly amazing people. I use to work in a hospital. I can't tell you how many patients I saw that were given months to live and 5 years later...they were still coming back for check ups. Don't let time given get into your head. Sometimes the road was hard then after they got through it, they were glad they kept fighting.

They have to be realistic too, don't lose hope and focus on what you want to accomplish with your love ones now, make some memories.
@tiffLSUFAN
@tiffLSUFAN Жыл бұрын
Sometimes Dr's give false hope and they should not . And sometimes the treatment is harder to do on the body and mind and that it's better to make memories to last then trying to do more test . And making more time with the family together then being separated sometimes is not good either. Cause in the end family and memories is what add ups in life. Hope God will heal her but also be realistic and try to spend more time with the kids and family and going places you know? You guys can travel and see places and make memories together as a family . But I'm not wanting to argue with anyone just saying why travel away from the family . Travel travel with the kids. Go have FUN less worry and away from the hospitals The movie the Bucket list is Two terminally ill men escape from a cancer ward and head off on a road trip with a wish list of to-dos before they die. And they both have the time of their life and making wonderful memories that they have . Sometimes just taking trips getting out getting to see different cultures and different foods and how people live and taking the kids with yall can be a learning experience also the kids can learn from and benefit from and for you guys to.

You guys are so beautiful together as a married couple and as a wonderful family. Your collective courage is truly amazing. My sister was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and given 12 months to live. She underwent Immune therapy and chemotherapy and lived another 7 years. Her fierce determination to be around for her young grandson who, along with his dad, lived with her gave her strength to fight on. You’re surrounded with love Jenny and with the power of prayer from so many people on social media as well as those closest to you, I add my own. Peace ☮️ and love ❤️

My dad was always terrified of them bringing up "morphine" for the first time after going through lung cancer with my grandmother . They reassured him that it only "helps" the pain or difficulty associated with being out of breath. It won't speed anything up in any way in case that's any fear. So glad your pain meds and or anxiety for claustrophobia worked. Small wins!
