As always, you're a rockstar in your shop. May I suggest a stop block on your TS fence for cross cutting. Hate to see you hurt.

@@salempoor678 I used a miter gauge if I remember right? (I don’t want to have to rewatch my own video.🤣) Maybe I misunderstood what you meant but I appreciate it! I don’t want to get hurt either and whenever I do a sketchy cut I say a prayer first.

@Jennyfromtheshop Hi Jen! Using a miter gauge with the wood against the fence, can occasionally cause pretty good kickback. Back on your end of the fence, put a stop block, then when your wood gets to the blade that end is free

@ I just found a video of what you’re describing, thanks for the suggestion!

Nice little project that looks good. I will work my way through the rest of your recent uploads as time permits. Can I just make one suggestion when using the nail gun. Don't hold at the sides of the piece where you are firing the nail in to as sometimes the nails will hit a hard bit of grain inside the timber and shoot out the side. If you are holding at the side you can get instant acupuncture😖

Nice looking projects, but unsafe way to cut the 6 x 6 squares.

NOTE: When a piece is longer than it is wide ; don't cut off on the table saw . Basic rule of thumb so you don't lose one. BTW , nice work. Thank you.

Have to agree with another comment. When you crosscut with the miter gauge and the rip fence. Your risking a dangerous and possibly painful kick back. Push your rip fence out of the way,or use a stop block.

Safer to use a miter gage and the fence with a block behind the blade as a standoff to make repeatable cuts. Or crosscut sled. I've seen too many kickbacks and injuries cutting short or square pieces that way be safe. And God bless. I do love your projects.

Please do not crosscut against the table saw fence. My friend lost both front teeth and a horrible split lip doing just that. He was very lucky that is all that happened. I am the shop safety person at a wood shop. Believe me I have seen My share of bad accidents. PLEASE BE SAFE.

@@joecurtis8092 Thank you Joe. Although I have seen many makers using the miter gauge exactly like I have, many people have expressed concern. I now have a sliding miter saw that takes care of most crosscuts and I’ll be building a sled when this countdown wraps up. 👍
