Cool tip i learned from visiting my Mami at the care facility. This lady said to give the fresh corn a flattop and take off some of the ugly husk leaves. Place them in a shallow microwave safe container cover with plastic wrap. Microwave each corn cob for 2 to 3 minutes. Let stand another 2 to 3 minutes. Wear some oven mitts or kitchen towel. And peel the husks off, its super hot but all the corn silks will come off quickly and easily. Then i like to brush with butter and either grill it for some chard kernals. Ive also put them after i butter them, into a preheated airfryer for a few minutes on the highest setting. Keep checking them you just want to char them not dry them out. After all this you should only have spent about 8 to 10 minutes. Then i dress mine up with mexican mayo. If you dont have it you can make your own by adding lime to your mayo till you like the flavors. Then some tajin,cotija cheese or parmesean, tapatio,lime. And now we eat! Hipe this helps someone. I personally wont ever go back to boiling them. You can also freeze the corn husks and all! I clean mine up with the flattop and clean off the ugly husks. Then place them in a freezer bag or vacuum sealed bag. Then when i want corn i can put it in the microwave without any prep! So happy to have learned something new and i love sharing my info.
