Why make them out of clay? Don't they get out of shape when used?

I forgot to mention it that you should leave them for a day to get dry and hard enough to play. But they can also be used right after you make them. They will not get out of shape if you just roll them. But, of course, if you squeeze them or drop them on the floor, it will happen. That is why I would recommend to wait for a day
