It seems some commenters refuse to appreciate the boundless expression of music. There is no "wrong" note. This is not some kid struggling for mastery of his instrument. You are privileged to hear an accomplished musician playing the song. Straining the melody until it cracks in discordance, dissonance. Have you never broken up before? Have you never experienced an emotional realization that things are not as you had imagined. What does it feel like when someone that still cares about you, someone you love, no longer loves you. There have been criticisms that you are very upset, offended by the music, feel as though everything has been ruined and lost in that moment. When suddenly she offers a note that you insist should be something else. In your mind you know the correct note, you know what she really meant for you to hear. You thought she said maple leaves. You never understood at all.

It's weird that this video was nearly 4 years old when it was posted on KZbin, but now that 2007 was 15 years ago...

The original is Bobby Freeman, it's also covered by the Beach Boys, the Ramones, and others. This is a great song though, totally different from the album/single versions
