So please for the love of hockey, please STOP with all of the Wilson laying someone out videos. You purposely put the first clip as a fuck you to Wilson probably. He was wobbly, he could NOT walk on his own power. What if your precious Wild players were laid out like that and got a concussion that severely? Reaves should have been suspended, not given the same bullshit reason that Malkin wasn't suspended. Which was 'The match penalty was enough punishment'. Bullshit. And Morrissey? Not even a suspension either. Oshie is STILL out with a concussion, he was sure as hell not faking it. Not after a WWE move. So you are either a fan of headshots and laugh like a school girl every time someone gets hurt. No decent human being would boo someone after an injury, and a decent human being wouldn't wish a head injury on someone. Doesn't matter who they are.

I personally have no issue with a self-regulating league. I personally believe that when the players were allowed to help officiate by clocking people who did dirty stuff the game was more entertaining and also safer. Players are less likely to do the more damaging stuff like spearing, head shots, slew footing and such if theres a consequence other than losing their eqivalent to pocket change and sitting out for a few games.

Yet some other players should be looked at as repeat offenders but have never been given any disciplinary actions. Some players grow as they are in the league and then others get dirtier the longer they are there since they haven't been disciplined by the league.

Here's what I really need help understanding from people. You don't like Wilson because he takes questionable hits, you want him suspended and fined and all that. Shouldn't be a suspension on reaves. Wilson WAS looking at the direction of the hit and looked away at the last second. He is eligible to be hit considering he just had the puck. He is also skating directly into the hit. The fact that it's a "blindside " is partially because of Wilson. If ANYTHING it was a little late and should only be 2 minutes.

All of hits were legal at that time. Brendan Shanahan was asked about all of Scott Steven's hits by Don Cherry whether they were legal and he confirmed all of them were legal. He was respected during the time he played and was a clean player for the most part. Scott Steven's was arguably the best defenceman in his time. Modern hockey fans who like grown men figure skating on the ice love to paint him as a dirty player.
