I once thought Alec would be Jensen's signature role. Then along came Dean Winchester, who will always be one of my favs. Now I know Jensen is such an amazing actor that he will continue to create new & intriguing characters & I expect more to join my list of favorites. As of now we are blessed to have Alec, Dean & Priestly who are infinitely rewatchable!

You can tell that Jensen was SO ready to be DONE with Supernatural every time he talks about saying goodbye. The show was good for his career, and he made good friends on the show but Jaysus - 15 years on a show that is that genre is WAY too fucking long for actors as young as they are. Without a DOUBT they wanted out SO damn bad. Cannot wait to see what his next projects will be - hopefully NOT in the supernatural genre. Would love to actually see him do something in a drama, letting his acting chops (which are so damn good) SHINE.

You must be seeing smth else, because across quite a few interviews he's only expressed ~not wanting it to end, & has explained elsewhere he's also not a fan of goodbyes in general. Instead he's repeatedly mentioned wanting to do smth with the story again in the future, either a limited season, or a spin-off & described a role behind the scenes with a story in the SPN-verse as his "dream project". He could easily be saying "finally it's over / never again" (like the Smallville cast often does) but it's obvious his love for the role & everything involved is ~genuine. Also while it may be nice, sure, to eventually see him in big movies (he's expressed interest in comedy more than drama), he alrdy has committed to smth similar to this in its "genreness" yet cranked up to 200- Kripke's Amazon series, so he doesn't appear to be as tired of it as one might think. I've only seen bits & pieces & read of it but that story seems 10x more messier, violent & miserable than SPN & yet Jensen is super hyped about it.. so it's ~doubtful that's smth he's being "forced" to do either. I kno it can be difficult, but sometimes fans just have to accept that our faves don't like the same kind of media (be it music or acting roles) we'd prefer them to do more of. (Seriously, I have a LOT I've felt that way about) So it's just a matter of being happy for them having fun. ♡
