I had a 3 minute one on one zoom call with Jensen a couple of weeks ago. Some of the best and fastest 3 minutes of my life and I can confirm I melted into a puddle of goo.

Yeah if you watch his oldest videos from when he first started singing he was sooooooooo shy and almost embarrassed by it. And year by year his confidence goes up until he became the rockstar we love today. It’s been great to watch him evolve like that.

His performance of Brother that particular time was apparently while Jared was going through a tough time, and Jensen sang it for him, so it was more emotional rather than fun, in comparison to his performance of Whipping Post here.

I love watching new people discover Jensen's singing talent and I also love how you noticed how much more confident he is in the second song video. I believe it's true because he had performed Whipping Post multiple times at the con concerts before this performance. I was at Jaxcon 2016 when he preformed it for the first time, and what a thrill that was. He also preformed Whipping Post at Atlcon later that same year, and I was there for that one too. It was just as thrilling to see the second time around. It was his first time singing Brother at a con concert in the video you watched, and I'm not sure how well he knew that song. I think that's why he seemed more tentative in that performance, and also why most of the cast members joined him on stage at that concert. I'm looking forward to checking out your SPN reactions now. 🤓

Yes, S.O.B.!!! My favorite is Alana King’s video of the first time he sang it at Vancon 2018. It has the best backing vocals and audience control.

Honestly watching people on KZbin fall in love with Jensen has been my favourite pass time since the finale. Check out Jason Mann's albums 'Covers with Friends', 'Recovery with Friends' and 'Christmas with Friends', it's just albums featuring many of the supernatural cast doing covers. If you wanna do a holiday theme react, then Jensen does a cover of Silent Night (I think), on that Christmas album

Jensen does not hold back on that one, like he does in this version, absolutely no mercy for his vocal cords and it sounds amazing. Though you can understand why he doesn't always do that though

You are right that when he sang Brother, he was a little more tentative. It’s a song by a Christian rock group so he had probably never heard it before it was suggested he sing it at the convention. He messes up the words in a couple places, so he is just less comfortable. The Vegas convention was the first time he sang it. He does better the following times since he learned the words better. Whipping Post (not pole*) is an old rock song he knows well and for a couple years this was almost always one of the two songs he did when singing at a convention. *lol...another example of his sometimes poor annunciation when he sings. Love him anyway 😉

Spoilers are part of the territory with KZbin unfortunately. Other than 1 or 2 little things, SPN fandom has been great so far in keeping things a surprise so I can't complain :)

I got spoiled of a character identity (kinda) which was revealed in s11, in the comments when i was watching a s3 or 4 gagreel. I got soo mad. It was a really imp one and it spoiled whole show soo badly.
