Scharon Specht True. They're incredibly tall. But fans can get zealous. Jensen told the fans once how one girl jumped on him and full on spider-monkeyed him (grabbed onto him with all 4 limbs). But I think the biggest reason is that back in season 1, Jared and Jensen got jumped outside of a bar. A couple of douchebags roughed them up and since the network couldn't risk the show's stars getting hurt (esp. if their faces got messed up because they do a lot of close-ups and let's face it - those faces are the money-makers ;) - no doubt about it), Jared and Jensen had to get a bodyguard. And Clif is pretty huge and scary-looking (though he's really sweet if you're not a threat to the boys).
