But even if he doesn’t sing, the cons are still such an amazing experience. :) You’re overseas though, right? So it actually might be different for you.. but still ;)

Yeah im in the UK. I know there's some sort of convention planned in 2021 I think but with the world being the way it is, I haven't looked into anything. Hopefully get to some in 2021 and meet some of you 😂

This was at a convention in Las Vegas at a hotel with a sound system that isn't truly made for music like this and the head movement is to fade his voice naturally for the poor sound system. Also, all the people on this video are cast members. I'm not sure season you're in, but please do react to more. Its worth it.

No worries that you didn’t say much during the song. I have no problem just staring at and listening to Jensen lol. I saw some other comments mentioning Jensen’s band Radio Company, which is really just him and a good friend with guest musicians. As background info, that is not the band that he sings with at the conventions. That band is Louden Swain. The “Saturday Night Special concerts they do at the conventions are loads of fun. This video was reasonably good for you to watch as it didn’t focus too much on the cast members that came on stage to join in the song. But we can try and recommend songs that don’t have extra cast members joining him. In the future would you want to react to two songs at once (he usually dies two songs at the concert) or just want to do one at a time. We can they pick good options for you.

I love Jensen Ackles ! Supernatural was the best show over and I love his singing! I love when he sings “Heaven”, by Bryan Adams and “Sister Christian “ by Night Ranger too. I really loved him singing this song, especially as his said, the basis of the show. It’s beautiful because of his and Sammy’s relationship ❤️

I fell in love with the song, "Brother" when I heard it from the Contemporary Christian Band needtobreathe. But when I heard Jensen singing it it totally hit differently. I saw it as Dean's theme song. Love it.

That little turning-away-from-the-mic thing is something singers do when they're not confident in hitting that note. If you watch again, you'll notice he does it only on the highest notes. He can hit them. He just wasn't confident in that moment that he could. He's come a long way; if you watched the earliest videos of him singing at conventions, you'd see how shy he was at first. He knew he had a good voice; he just didn't have any confidence in it yet. Now, he's put out an album. The music is on itunes, under the name "Radio Company". Side note, you should watch him sing Simple Man. But it needs to be a certain video. He forgets the words a couple of times, but the overall performance is A-MAZ-ING! Search for "Jensen Ackles VanCon 2015" and you'll find it.

You were surprised by Jensen higher singing voice. You should know that he made his voice deeper as Dean to sound a little like Jeffrey Dean Morgan who played his father. His speaking voice is not as gravely as Dean's, in real life, and his singing voice was not as raspy ten years ago!. And I'm pretty sure Jensen was in a choir growing up; he is use to do a lot of the higher harmonies. The first recordings he did was (higher) background vocals for one of his musician friend.

If you have a microphone that's not set up specifically for singing you can get feedback when you breathe in heavily near the mike. So you kinda learn to take your breaths away from the mike so it doesn't mess up the sound.

Just wanted to make a correction- Wild Mountain Thyme is actually a very old folk song, much older than Ed. But yes, Jensen’s cover is truly breathtaking. Just so lovely and sweet.
