Jensen Ackles slashing Misha Collins' duck

2011 Vancouver Supernatural Convention - Misha had a fan blow up this duck to add to Clif's duck collection. During the breakfast with Jared and Jensen, Jensen said he would take the duck down. During Jensen and Jared's panel, Clif tossed the duck onstage. Out came Jensen's knife and carnage ensued!

I assume it depends on which country you're in, but in the USA where these guys are from (and apparently Canada, seeing how nobody jumped onto the stage to arrest Jenson here,) it's perfectly legal to carry a pocket knife. I've heard people say there's a limit on how long the blade can be and probably some other things, not sure about the specific details, but yeah, a lot of people carry at least a basic Swiss Army knife around with them. I have a little keychain one myself and am planning on buying a larger one soon to keep for when I need to cut something, tighten a screw, open a can, or whatever.

I think the surprise is because of restrictions on potential weapons in public spaces. From what I remember, pocket knives aren't allowed in schools and such, so seeing one casually being used in front of a ton of people is startling. It's not strange to have one, necessarily, but seeing someone using one at an event that has security is surprising. Many people probably do carry them, but don't take them out of their pockets in places where they could get into trouble for it.

trombonedrama It depends were you are from on how the restriction goes as a lot of rural places and middle of the US are chill with knives. The policy for most of the area I am in is as long as the blade is shorter than the palm of your hand then it is fine. I frequently use mine at school as a pencil sharpener in class,lending it to others for other purposes as well, and as a tool on the theater.
