I really do love my specialized tires! One thing maybe not as noticeable is that way less sealant leaks out of the side walls as compared to the maxxis tires I was running before.

Thats a great thing. Haven't paid attention to that detail before, but less sealant leak is always awesome! Definitely going to be keeping an eye on that now too!

Butcher T9 soil searching front. Eliminator T7 soil searching rear. This combo is on my Fezzari Cascade Peak and Scott Strike 930 emtb. Love these tires

Eliminator / butcher grid trail on Gen 3 levo and enduro expert. I would say about as good as dhf, but it's not an Assagai. I do like them, the previous models had a lot to be desired.

Totally get that. the Elim/Butch combo just seems to have that perfect blend combo!

I live in AZ and am a big Spesh fan. I own the S-Works Epic. The terrain here is mostly dry hard pack, some loose gravel, and sharp rock washes. My favorite combo is Purgatory in front and Ground Control in the back. And I always stick with Grip compound. It's not worth it for me to go lower compound to save weight. Too many 🌵 thorns!

What part of AZ? I’m interested that setup as well but am in the desert southwest and am worried about washing out

Didn't the BLCK DMND go out of production? I think Grid Gravity basically took the place of it. BLCK DMND isn't on the Specialized website anymore. Anyways, really like the Ground Control and Butcher tires.

My new Status came with the Butchers, I may swap to the Hillbilly up front for bit more control in the sand.
@jensonusabicycles2 жыл бұрын
You should and let us know how it ran! Would love to hear about it!

Been running an older hillbilly for my sandy NorCal trails for years. Definitely recommend it.

Lower Michigan, mostly hard pack riding, Epic Evo, S-Works Fast Trak front, and rear, tried the S-Works Renegade in the rear, its much better then the last generation, need to be replace often.. I put a lot of miles on my bike, I'll be sticking with the Fast Trak's...

Ground Control 2.3 Front and Back on a Stumpjumper. Thinking about Purgatorys or Purgatory/Butcher for winter with some loose ground, snow and ice now and there, any recommendations?
@jensonusabicycles Жыл бұрын
That sounds like a good combo to us, tall knobs for grip and nice spacing to make sure you aren't collecting much snow along the way.

Specialized actually started as tire seller before making it big on bike selling

What do you think about Eliminator f+r on those trails?
@jensonusabicycles6 ай бұрын
Faster rolling and still have plenty of grip, they'll work just fine.

I got a 2022 Rockhopper expert tha came with a pair of fast trak control t5 tires but I can't find anywhere if those are tubeless ready or not, do you know if it is tubeless ready?
@spenserak4 ай бұрын
If you go to the product page for the rockhopper expert, it lists the rims as being tubeless ready. It doesn't add that detail next to the tire model, but if you go to the tire page itself, the fast trak T5 controls are also listed as tubeless ready.

Having to compete with the environmental noise is brutal. I’d just create a small studio in a corner somewhere in the giant warehouse and make it quiet! Audio is more important than video of you want your audience to stick around
