​@@goodsaxo Yes, Mr. Cho, I came across the news that yesterday’s snowfall in South Korea broke a 100-year-old record-how remarkable! In India, we are fortunate to have the Himalayas, which allow us to experience snow as well. My first encounter with snow was in Kufri, a popular tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh. I had the privilege of participating in a 5-day skiing expedition there during my high school. It was an unforgettable experience. In fact, out of India’s 33 states, four-, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh including Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (Union territories)-receive snowfall every year. The high-altitude peaks in these regions remain snow-covered throughout the seasons, thanks to the mighty Himalayas. India’s diverse geography is something we deeply cherish. From the deserts of Rajasthan to Mawsynram in Meghalaya, which holds the world record for the highest rainfall, we are blessed with remarkable natural wonders. We also have the vast plateaus (There are a total of seven plateaus in India the Deccan, Marwar, Central Highland, Bundelkhand Upland, Malwa, Baghelkhand, Chota Nagpur, Meghalaya, and Maharashtra Plateau), the world’s largest delta in the Sundarbans of West Bengal. We also have lots of fresh and brackish water lakes, such as Chilika Lake in Odisha, which is Asia’s largest brackish water lagoon and the second largest coastal lagoon in the world. Additionally, India is home to lush tropical rainforests, like the Dehing Patkai in the northeast and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. We are also proud to have two beautiful archipelagos-Lakshadweep in the Arabian Sea and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Bay of Bengal. It’s truly humbling to witness such varied landscapes within one country. I hope as Seoul, Gyeongsan will also receive snowfall this winter season.
