Fun fact: after drawing all three of their group games at the 2010 World Cup (Paraguay, Slovakia, and Italy), New Zealand's FA released a commemorative DVD titled 'Undefeated'. No other team at that World Cup could have released a DVD of the same name.

Not sure about the New Zealand question as there are a number of times a team has been unbeaten in groups but not made the knockout round.

@@chrisgreenhough2792 you are correct in relation to the 2010 World Cup but Nieve's guess of Angola would have been 2006 & no actual World Cup was specified. Scotland 1974 Cameroon 1982 England 1982 Belgium 1998 All fit as unbeaten teams in group play (England in 2 group phases in 82) who didn't reach the knockout phase.

@@knuble I knew that Conan Doyle played under a pseudonym to escape any fans/media being aware.. I thought maybe it might have been the same thing with Bohr, as a known physicist.. I thought it might have just been that he also played football as a hobby or professionally, I wasn't expecting the specificity of the position to be what they were looking for

I saw a documentary about him recently, and saw that he played under a pseudonym so as to avoid the press. Didn't remember that he played in goal, but had no idea about Niels Bohr - i remember him coming up in my chemistry classes about the structure of atoms or something, along with 4 other guys that built on his (or someone else's) work.

@@dylansharkey6040I got that. ACD had been in goal for Portsmouth as well as taking 1 first class wicket as a cricketer (the batsman was WG Grace). Niels Bohr & his brother were both played football and his brother was involved in the 1908 Olympic Final.

The answer to this was British Virgin Islands who drew twice against The Bahamas (both matches were played in the Bahamas but the home leg was 2-2 (away 1-1) so the Bahamas went through on away goals.

Danish scientist Niels Bohr played for AB (Akademisk Boldklub or Academic Ball Club). He played when the goals were made of wood. He used to bring a pencil so if he had an idea during the game he could write a formula on the posts 😎

No, doesn’t count. The question wasn’t about teams who went out after the group stage at *one* WC (would be a nonsensical question bc there are several teams who didn‘t qualify for the knockout stage but stayed unbeaten), but *any* WC. Belgium lost at other World Cups, New Zealand only played one, stayed unbeaten in the group stage, but didn‘t qualify for the knockout stage. Therefore NZ are unbeaten at World Cups.

Tom Wiese has made a big mistake in the semi final of the Champions League with Werder Bremen against Juventus Turin in the Delle Alpi Stadium. Werder Bremen was nearly in the Final. After that, he was not a safe goalie. After his football karrere he tries to be a wrestler and this wasn't very successful.😂

It was not the semis, rather the Last 16.(March, 07.2006) The first leg was 3 : 2 for Werder and the 2nd leg 2 : 1 for Juventus. Emerson scored at the 89. min. a lucky goal based on a big mistake of the GK Tim Wiese.
