The context of ex-criminals making the effort to be good persons in the society is a fantastic one. My Sweet Mobster has become one of my favourite kdramas.

Jtbc really didn't promote this drama. The actors didn't go to any variety or talk show. Despite that it got so much love and don't even get me started with overseas stardom. Just imagine if they would have actually promoted it. It would have literally exploded. It's a shame that they are not promoting it despite having Uhm Taegoo & Han Sunhwa as main leads. And their chemistry God 🔥🔥🔥.

According to weekdays drama it is doing pretty well, that too competing with variety shows and main leads as well the drama is always topping the topicality chart but I want it to go even higher because people are enjoying it thoroughly. Being No. 1 in almost 100 countries for 4 weeks continuously is no joke that's why the drama has been declared as a Global Hit.

Ya know, I'm thinking they didn't go that route for promotion because Um Tae Goo, as loveable as he is, appears to be cripplingly shy. And the rest of the cast is really private, overexposure to the world is probably not their thing. 🤣

But for My Sweet Mobster, there's clearly only one interview besides the Press conference and this reaction video which were shot on the same day. Jtbc dumped its own drama rather Jtbc was promoting it's weekend drama. And also the behind the scenes videos are too short compared to its other dramas behind the scenes.

I think that can also be the reason how this drama and the entire cast got so popular..because it is so good but mysterious (due to lack of promotional activities) that people start digging more about the cast, their previous works and making a lot of fan edits.

This was so nice to see. I enjoyed the series so much. The lead cast was well chosen and the secondary cast was so good that I got as wrapped up in their stories just as intensely. Great script and great director ! I would love to see more dramas this well balanced.

finally subbed! just really love how the director, sun hwa, and kwon yool were uplifting and complimenting tae goo a lot throughout the commentary. even tho he's shy about it, he really deserves it! also, the way that most of the scenes with uhm tae goo in it, sun hwa said that he was cute 🤭 and the way that he said she was pretty at the end (from the very beginning he has always thought she was very pretty), i love the crumbs they feed us!! looking forward to watching this week's episodes ❤
