Once the call on the field was overturned, I *knew* that was it. This was their game to lose. In the moment, I remember feeling the momentum shift. We're so lucky to have watched this team play ball, not to mention win the whole damn thing! I would have been a Giants fan for the rest of my life anyway, regardless of any championships they won, but the magical teams of 2010, 2012, and 2014 really cemented that. I'll never forget these guys. Panik, Craw, Affelt, and Belt: Thank you! 🤘

I think Bochy going with his gut for so many of his decisions during those WS years was the reason they won all three titles. While some managers relied too much on the analytics, he went with what he thought was the best move for the team. As cliche as that sounds, it gave them the edge over other teams.

Best double play ever at least most important

Earlier in the season in the August the Giants made the same play where Crawford flipped to Panik and on to Belt for the double play. So this wasn’t the first time the Giants execute this play.

4-6-3 double play? It was sweet at all points. The Belt naysayers didn’t appreciate his wingspan.

Sad what Farhan did to Crawford I hope posey brings him back to retire a Giant!!
@Feanor0262 ай бұрын
To be honest Crawford did that to himself. Love the guy since his first game as a rookie, but after a great 2021 season (top 4 MVP ?) he resigned for 2 terrible years with the Giants, and came back each spring training less in shape than the previous year. He should have retired at the end of 2023 as a Giants and on his own terms. I do hope Posey does something tho' for him and Belt.

And they should sign Panik to a one day contract so he too can retire as a Giant!

I miss these times. The SF Giants haven't been relevant since then. Sad really. We built a dynasty and how quickly that evaporated.

Am I the only one that feels after Joe got hit in the head he was never the same hitter?
@BogWraith1Ай бұрын
Correct! His concussion, and he might have had 2 in total, led to his early retirement as he was never the same again.

If I could, I would surrender even 2 WS of that era to Barry's time, even with just one WS with him.

Who in the WS right now though? DODGERS! Lights out like Brian stow
@stanfordite12 ай бұрын
Nope. The Dodgers were banned from the World Series as punishment for what they did to Stow. And they will remain so until they go back to Brooklyn where they belong. Congrats to the 28 time world champion New York Yankees for their win over the Mets in the Subway Series.

If I had a option to have given my back health to Joe Panik, I would’ve done it. That swing was meant for greatness
