10 years later and this song has more meaning to me now than ever. Just learned I got put on academic suspension from my university. After two semesters of struggling mentally and spiritually I had a breakthrough today and now I truly realize the meaning of these lyrics. God took me back even though the sin I committed and all the ignoring I did of him yet he accepted me back at my lowest with open arms.

I hear ya on that. I DON'T know HOW many times I've single handedly managed to mess things up when they were going so good & yet he STILL continues loving me & still being there. I just wish I could be more there & dedicated to HIM than I have been for way to long. & Idk🤷🏻‍♀️HOW, WHEN or WHY but, somehow i ALWAYS end up "slipping away". & It's almost like a cycle w/me..when life is going GR8 4 me & I feel like I'm on top of my game & I'm happy, proud & sucessful...i unintentionally seem to self sabotage myself & end up in a sad, lonely, & miserable rut. I showed this to my husband because he didn't want our daughter to start dating till she was 30! He said not to let her out of your sight! Ha-ha! I knew she would be married soon after college. She never dated in high school because she wisely didn't want the emotions that go along with it. But she went to a Christian conference in the Rockies her last year of college and met her future husband. They are now married and about to have their third child. He's a fine pastor. She never dated anyone else! And both of my sons never dated either but courted and married. The most important thing to do for your child is to pray for them in the Spirit! And an excellent song!

Its so easy to blame God for the things that go wrong in our life. So quick to anger and blame. And in that anger and blame, we turn from God and walk away. human nature dictates that when someone does that to us, we refuse or are reluctant to allow that person back into our life.
