This is a very soulful live performance by Jeremy Enigk.
Jeremy was still writing and composing "Return of the Frog Queen" when he decided to do a "live" test of some of his material, at a private gathering of artists and friends.
Guessing this happened in late 1995, before Jeremy Enigk went into the studio to record "Return of the Frog Queen", his first solo album released in 1996.
Hired my "storytelling with motion pictures mentor", Richard Pratt, a fellow producer, director of photography, editor and camera operator from CBS afilliate KIRO, to come with me to cover this rare chance to shoot video of Jeremy.
We had teamed up & co-produced at least hundreds of segments for CBS, in 15 US major markets prior for Larry "At Large" Sturholm, a CBS comedy guy.
Mission was to capture Jeremy's soulful essence with one camera, in the moment.
Richard translated the magic in Jeremy's performance with one camera.
Well worth the half day rate of $500 back in 1995.
This footage has been in storage for 26 years.
Rediscovered a couple weeks back.
Basically, a bucket list item to find Jeremy, in our vault of seattle music history.
Hence, our next video project to share.
Notice bassist Nate Mendal, of Sunny Day Real Estate, The Fire Theft and Foo Fighters at the 9:43-9:46 mark viewing from up in the balcony.
Jeremy was and still is today, a very treasured friend of ours and my cousin, William Goldsmith, drummer of Sunny Day Real Estate, The Fire Theft and the Foo Fighters [first 2 years].
Jeremy Enigk is known as the father of Emo music.
