I'm a Canadian and this is one of the funniest comedians I can think of. I would like to see him in person. I grew up near the Maine border. My mother wouldn't not cross over into the US. We saw a lot of USA deer hunters, no respect for private property or Canadian laws. I tracked my family back to the mid-eastern USA in about 1774. Then crossed into New Brunswick and settled in the upper marimichi river area , on a homestead in 1818. Family sold out in about 1952 or so, my father's father died without a will, but with a relatively young family of boys. My father was the oldest but at war and just getting out. His mother had to take over the farm and had about 6 teenage boys. A lack of education and a lawyer left them without much help. A large corporation bought it up. The war did not help.

@annamariereimer508614 күн бұрын
Canada celebrated their first thanksgiving in 1578, while the first American thanksgiving was in 1621. Canadas first celebration was to give thanks for safe passage across the ocean. Whereas the US thanksgiving was initially celebrated by the Wampanoag people for many years before the white people came to the Americas and when the pilgrims made peace with the Wampanoag people, by exchanging European weapons for food from the natives. They then celebrated thanksgiving together for the bountiful harvest that they had that year.
