He's the team's leading scorer and main attraction. Pretty sure he can play as many minutes as he wants. In the NBA he was criticized for his defense (at least early in his career). But in the CBA, he's probably one of the best defensive guards in the league. So no reason why you shouldn't play him max minutes unless he asked the team to play him less.

As much as I love Jeremy, there is no reason for him to return to the NBA (money & career wise). He might make the slightly more than veterans min in the NBA but get no minutes. While playing for the ducks, he can get endorsement deals along with collecting a decent cheque from the CBL. Not to mention, he is playing well too. Must be a crazy ride for him. Godspeed with Lin!

Kinda funny how even though Lin isn't really the most fundamentally sound point guard, in the CBA everyone is shocked at how solid his fundamentals are because all of these CBA players never learned how to play ball the right way. But this is the kind of game that he has to have if he wants to shine in the CBA enough to make it back to the NBA. Unlike Jimmer Fredette who has a million fatal flaws to his game that get completely exposed in the NBA, Lin's actually a complete player. He's a solid on-ball defender, a playmaker, a defensive playmaker, a pace-pusher, a floor stretcher, a ball handler, a shot creator, a slasher, a plus rebounder, scoring combo guard, and he's a good leader and locker room guy. He shouldn't be averaging 40 points a game. That's not his game. I was a bit worried because in his first few CBA games he basically played with his head down because it was so easy for him to score inside. But just like Jimmer hitting threes against garbage defense, a driving specialist being able to score inside on CBA players doesn't prove anything.
