As a artist with lots to learn, it was so humbling and clearing in the perfect sense to hear about Jeremy's tear down approach with his students. Watching this interview directly after watching "A Solitary Mann" has pushed the reset button for me and changed my whole approach for what I hope will allow me to speak through my art in a much more powerful and honest way. Thank you Jeremy and Menorca Pulsar. I went on your website to see if he is doing a 2019 workshop but alas it appears not to be.

Jeremy Mann, one of my top favourite artist from whom I draw inspiration. I bought the film, 'A Solitary Mann' by Loic Zimmerann because I wanted to see how Jeremy Mann applied his brush strokes or brayer rollers and how he goes about creating his works of art. And no, I have nothing to do with the film or Jeremy Mann but I mention it here because all artists like Zimmermann and Jeremy Mann need to be supported. I agree so much - dare I say it - with everything he spoke about in this interview. I am truly grateful and surprised to see another long video on Jeremy Mann. Fantastic! I have always wanted to see another video on Jeremy Mann so thank you for doing that #Menorca Pulsar! This has to be my favourite interview and it is with Jeremy Mann! Many thanks.

Wow - it sounds like a workshop very much worth experiencing. I was very moved by the notion of the need to save, the logic involved in that, so that one can make it happen - it is exactly what I need to do and manage to avoid, always putting family7 needs first and so forth. I not only love the conception of following ones curiosity, and doing so with books, I very much live it. His words on awareness and focus I very much enjoyed, although maybe my own way is slightly different in that I make use of a great deal of dissembling symbolism, always looking at it (as opposed to symbols that resemble). Science math and art, I love it and do make a study of all three. Of all the work shops I have seen and watched about, his buy far makes the most sense to me from anything I have seen thus far. While I have a need for it, the video will have to do as I need to save for a year long living bill so I can draw 40 to 50 hours a week from live models at the palette and chisel in Chicago - the cheapest place I can find for that, and reach that the ceiling he talks of and bust right on through it - I want it so bad I can taste it, its just living the ascetic principles in a way that force it to happen, something long over due. Thank you Jeremy Mann for sharing all of this.

While I do think this interview was very interesting and insightful, I on the other hand am disappointed in his unreflective reaction on the questions about objectifying women and sexism. His answers paint a ridiculous portrait of the typical white man, claiming all they want is love and peace but never REALLY educate themselves about the struggles and reasons behind feminism. Instead, he is building a wall like 'people don't get me, that's not my fault, leave me alone' instead of really confront himself with this very contemporary and important topic. He simply is showing off his lack of education about this and is relying on his white man privilege. This indifference I find incredibly cringy and makes him appear very self-centered. All this coming from an artist who considers himself as interested and tells people to learn things. He is also hating on the internet in a very old fashioned and one-sided way so I guess he might simply be stuck in the last century and lost touch to society. Also disappointed in how he keeps avoiding hands on tips or advice on the art market. The galleries are supposed to protect the artists? There are good and bad ones? Okayyy, thank you for not answering at all what is necessary on the artist's side, making it appear like a next level artist mystery. I feel like this comment ended up more negative than I wanted to but the more I think about it the more I am just disappointed in how ignorant an artist is that I thought had a valuable pov. I like how neutral the interviewer was though.

He probably doesn't want to bother himself with the modern political landscape. He loves women and loves to paint women like he sees them and express in his paintings all they make him feel. There are many artists that sexually objectify women, don't think he's one of them.

A) He did explain, he just didn’t say what you wanted him to say, and B) the interviewer was hardly “neutral” as he joked with JM about people getting offended at everything.

You certainly put a lot of words in his mouth and have assumptions of his actions simply based on your reaction. I wonder if the feelings are the same if rewatched 2 yrs later.
