Jeremy Miller grew up before our eyes as the lovable Ben Seaver on the hit 80's tv show Growing Pains. In this interview, he speaks on the pain of Alan Thicke's death, the craziness of Kirk Cameron and more.

*Kirk Cameron had to learn the hard way that being a JERK to everyone is very ungodly and NOT Christ-like. He was awful and a bible thumping, judging Moron who pushed everyone away for a while. He learned though. There are still people who Don't like him.

I met Kirk Cameron at the college I went to in Southern California. He was the nicest guy I think I ever shook hands with. Kinda sad, seeing as many on the campus were booing him for preaching God. They were all younger and did not know who he was. Mind you, I wasn't what you would consider a Christian at that time. And he was still good to me.
@Karmen20104 жыл бұрын
I believe you and it's sad that the media loves to bring negativity into everything. I believe what Jeremy said about him too. He seemed very since when he said it and he knew him well. I never really had an opinion on Kirk and his ways of thinking because you can't believe everything the medical tells you. I just think of him as his character in Growing Pains.
@akat36284 жыл бұрын
I don't think anyone was booing him for preaching God- I think some people just don't agree with the way he practices Christianity because the Bible says not to judge others. I think you're supposed to apply the Bible to your own life and live according to it and then love everyone else without judging. The Bible does not say to go around telling others when they're sinning and that they're wrong for their lifestyles. That's judgement.

Stacy At 9:18, his “defense” of Kirk’s misogynistic statement did not refute it - it confirmed it. Casting men solely in the paternalistic “caretaker/provider” role is just as sexist as as casting women as subservient and servile to men. The entire concept of gender roles is still highly archaic, outdated, and extremely sexist. It’s fine if anyone CHOOSES those roles voluntarily, good for them and more power to them. Exactly. If you are a great husband and father, then they cry "toxic" masculinity. If you are a great wife and mother, then you are a weak woman. However, in reality, Kirk is a great, loving stand up guy, like most guys. His wife is the strongest type of woman. Feminists are the weak women. They are brainwashed and have the herd mentality. Liberals want to destroy the traditional family. It is okay if a star recommends that you tirn your boys into girls, or girls into boys. It is okay if they become drug addicts, because they have suffered horrible abuse in Hollywood. It's okay if they are gay, or want their children to be gay. It is okay, if they push, and promote, pedophilia. However, become a Christian, adopt some children, and stay with your wife, and you are intolerant and hateful. Hollywood is mostly full of sexual deviants (look it up, many are convicted pedophiles and rapists) and they are morally bankrupt. That is okay. However, stay with one woman and you are evil. People need to wake up, and see what Hollywood is doing to people, especially young people. I don't care what anyome does with their own body, but leave children out of it. Do what you have to do, just do it with consenting adults.

The problem is, studies have shown that; when public figures be they, actors, politicians, or even religious leaders put forth messages of, intolerance, hate, etc; it encourages people to act upon those words. This is so much so that, studies show a much higher probability some members of a church will commit a hate crime after a sermon that promotes hate towards segments of the population. Let's not forget that, the passage in Laviticus used.against the LGBT community includes the words, "and their blood shall surely be upon them", if this passage was used against minorities, it would be recognized for the hate it is. I have seen these literalist Christians on, LGBT, Atheism, and other forums; declaring members of these groups, will burn in hell, should be tortured, denied civil rights, be deported, and put to death. There is a difference between stating one's beliefs and hate speech; and the scripture has hate filled passages within it.

Social Media Meham there have been “Christians” who tell others they are going to hell. And yes, there will be people who identified as homosexual in hell. There will also be people who identify as straight in hell too. Unfortunately many people fail to see that any sexual activity outside marriage is sin. Heterosexual or homosexual. And things such as stealing, murder, drunkenness and even gossip are also sin! But here’s the thing, there is a Savior and He died for the sins of all of us. Through Him and only Him - Jesus - there is salvation. He loves us all the same and He’ll accept any one of us. But He does have a standard. He will be our Savior but He also needs to be our Lord and King.

Wow, Jeremy is so articulate, charismatic, and down to earth. I thought he was a "has-been" in Hollywood, but he's a real man in his own right. Kirk is a born again Christian who lives the Faith to be an example to others and to bring honor and glory to our Lord.

I couldn't finish watching this interview. After Jeremy finished talking about Alan, I couldn't go on. He spoke the truth about Alan. He was a great human being minus the acting and songwriting.

What "backlash"? Jeremy, thanks for speaking the truth about Kirk. Glad to see you're doing well!😊
