I mean I’m ending up paying less compared to what I normally eat. People are complaining about portion size but that’s another reason I’m paying for it is so I don’t over eat like normally. It’s also healthy and I don’t even have to drive to the grocery store and buy all the ingredients and cook it.

I've been eating Factor meals, and I totally agree with you. This might not be idea for a family but for a single person like myself, this is definitely a good way to go. Someone said it is wasted money. Well, I actually waste more money cooking because I end up wasting a lot of food. I have such a huge issue with preparing too much food. I swear in a past life I probably had 15 kids. It just depends on people's lifestyle. For some it could be a waste of money or not enough food. But for people like myself, it actually is better and proportioned perfectly--good for my lifestyle, for now!

I tried an introductory 8 meal Keto package for about $60 delivered. My wife likes them, I'm okay as well. Wasn't expecting the auto delivery the following week, $89 and change, about $30 off. Had to cancel deliveries since we can't afford them when the meals get to the $12-$15 price each. I'm going back to meal prep. I've got decent culinary skills, just have to keep adding new recipes. Cheers!

at 12-15 a meal you can just pick the restaurant you like and have them deliver it. It's fresher, bigger meals, (usually 2 meals worth in 1 serving) and they put more attention on the individual meals. I don't see how these services survive? The ONLY advantage I suppose is if you are so busy, you just can't wait to have it delivered when your ready to eat. You need it already there. You can steal order more meals at once and store them.

I agree these prices are a little nuts to me, one trip to grocery store with about 40-60 dollars of fresh veggies, rice and protein (chicken, fish, less expensive cuts of meat) I can make about 3 weeks worth of food prep with portions twice the size of these. And I think that's the big thing is the portions of these seem way too small for over 12 bucks a pop.

Got my first (and last) shipment today. I live in Minnesota so not too hot here. I opened the box within 15 minutes of delivery and the ice packs were totally melted. The food temperatures were 53 degrees Fahrenheit at the coldest and up to 58 degrees Fahrenheit at the warmest. Not Factor’s fault but if I can’t depend on the meals arriving at a safe temperature here in Minnesota I just won’t risk it again. Customer service was helpful and issued a refund. Good review. Regarding the price at regular rate of $87 per week, that equals $348 per month. And that’s only like 6 dinner a week, still need to make 1 meal by yourself weekly. I really cannot justify $348 per MONTH for just myself. $350-400 per month is what some people might pay for food for a family… not just by themselves.

If you can find them. $1.60 for regular spaghetti sauce turns into $5.00 not to mention the same for the keto pasta and on and on.. So when you look at the per meal prices you should FACTOR that in (pun unintended). I think this is a great deal considering 12 to 15 bucks these days is mostly fast food country. I wanted to update my first post. I feel the need to caution people with my experience. After around 7 months out of 9, in my subscription to the weekly delivery, the shipping and delivery has been plagued by problems. Some boxes never show up (that's a weeks' worth of dinners) and some have been shorted meals due to ingredient shortages. They have a good customer service department and are responsive with refunds and discounts but that's not why I joined. I think they are growing faster than they can handle. The meals are exceptionally good but as of this post, they have become undependable. I hope they can overcome these issues before they lose customers and fade into memory because it is a good service when they are firing on all cylinders. Ironically, I live in a city with a huge Factor assembly facility (where they make these meals).

Everything about this service is awesome, but as expensive as it is, the portions should be a bit larger. Sometimes I get a meal and it literally looks like it's a lunch, not a dinner. I called the customer service and explained that I would be out of town when they delivered the box. They responded “you should have called 1 day earlier”. Despite there were still 6 days until the delivery, Factor_ refused to make any change or refund. They still intended to deliver the food while I was away after knowing the food was going to be wasted. This is like asking customers to pay for their website bugs. With these types of meals, you would of course need to season it. One main seasoning, salt, a lot of people can't have it. Plus you want to season it to taste, not everyone likes the same kinds of seasonings. Some of the food that you said was seasoned well, was actually the flavor of the other food with it. With respect to the salmon, any fish is plain in my book. Whenever I make any fish, I struggle with the best way to make it to get some flavor. No matter what I do / use, it still taste plain to me. So I'm assuming that's why there were adding food to give it more flavor. Great review. I agree with you, it is too expensive for the amount of food you get and so few meals. Thanks!

How is the salt content in them? You mentioned a few were somewhat bland or not seasoned so I'm curious if this is one food service that finally doesn't overload their meals with salt to preserve the flavor. Just about every meal service I've looked at has insanely high salt content that pretty much negates the health value. I think these services are kind of nice if you are constantly on the go, but I also think it's a lot cheaper to just buy your own ingredients and cook at home. Only issue is right now with inflation grocery prices are through the roof.

I've been looking too, and I have to agree that salt content is high in most of these "healthy" meals from the couple of services I have checked out. As far as taste goes everybody has different tastes so by adding your own seasoning will turn the bland meal into one good meal for you. A lot of these meals looks so much better and appetizing if you take the few seconds to put it on a plate. Eating from a plastic container usually turns me off - ugh.

These meals are definitely not free however, when you compare them to what you're spending at the grocery stores and restaurants, they are definitely cheaper... Here are a few tips for weight loss: 1. Eat two Factor meals per day (lunch and dinner). I personally order the keto meals. 2. Skip breakfast if you can. If you can't skip breakfast, eat two eggs (any style). 3. If the meals aren't quite enough, add a fresh avocado to the meal. If that's still not enough, eat some nuts. But try and get used to eating just the meals with no add-ons. 4. At the grocery store, you really only need to grab a few items. Berries (preferably blueberries), eggs, butter, jerky (no sugar preferably) and nuts. 5. The meals (in my opinion) are great. These aren't TV dinners. These meals are definitely made by skilled kitchen staff. Use extra seasoning to your taste. I find them to be seasoned perfectly. I do add a little pepper but that's it. 6. If you're on keto like i am, consider taking Metformin at night to assure you stay in ketosis. Note: I'm not a diabetic. 7. Drink a lot of water. I give Factor two thumbs up!

Read the package, dude! It clearly says to season with salt and pepper to taste. They're trying to provide a low sodium meal.

I think the takeaway here is that people can generally eat what they want just eat less.

I’d rather it be under seasoned that over seasoned..it’s pretty easy to add salt.

Anyone use this with the Chefs choice selection? I’m not on any diet but have limited time throughout my day and just want a good meal. Are those meals good?

I've ordered 4 boxes from Factor so far and honestly I think they suck at what they do. First and second boxes were ok. Some of the meals were way to small. The 3rd box was MISSING 4 MEALS and the 5th box I yet have to receive as its going on 2 days late. I most likely will be searching for a better company that can handle what they're supposed to do

Had an account for many months because of a busy work schedule. Choose the Keto meals.. The meals were a great size and very very good.

Ill take under instead of over seasoned since we can add more.

I can't eat their stuff. Tried for a few days and everything has some weird taste to it. There is also no way to cancel them, pause meals yes but cannot even contact them to cancel. Beware!

I am giving Factor a try. My first order comes on the 26th and can't wait. I am mainly doing this to improve what I eat for lunch. I usually eat store bought pre made burritos and cold cuts and I am trying to get away from that.

It makes lunch during the work week easier. One of these and a sandwich are about what I eat during the week. I'm not good at cooking for 1.

Great review, you answered my questions. Yea $87/ month/$14 per meal, forget that. i can cook my own meals for around $1--2/meal. and be filled up in the process. Thanks Jeremy 👍👍

I knew as soon as you put the rice and beans in your mouth it was going to be bland. These pre-made meals I don't care how great they taste they're always missing the most important factor, no pun intended, which is flavor or seasoning. I don't know why that is but I guess they figure everybody likes a certain amount so you can do that part yourself. 🙄

I liked your video, Great job, I just started getting factor/ I'm not over weight/ I don't like cooking/ I don't eat alot at night, so your video really helped, it's like you said, if you can swing it. Nice work on your end.

Thank you for the review. It helped me make up my mind about ordering. It's a pass. Didn't look very appetizing and definitely too pricey. Thanks again!

They're way overpriced in my opinion. My gf brings some home from her work sometimes and they're really tasty.. I looked up the prices because I was curious and it comes out to like $350 a month. That's just not worth it for the amount of food you get.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I’m thinking about trying factor. Not sure if I want to commit to the price.

Even at a 2000 calorie diet it doesn't meet any daily caloric standard even if you eat 3 a day at the most 1800 calories and if you purchase the 18 meal plan from factor and get 120 dollar's off which is being offered now through other offers on yt. It was still 115 usd total. That would only be 6 days covered I would still have to cook the 7th day and this doesn't include snacks drinks or anything else I might want throughout the day. So 445 dollars for almost 1 month is insane and that's with the discount at best it looks like 12 ounces a meal (from the package in the video) not sure if that's the meal and package or just the meal either way I eat 1lb to 1.5 lb per meal usually. Also for reference a 12 inch club sub sandwich from subway is just over 18 ounces 514 grams so a little over a pound far better deal then these half prepared meals of which I would need 2 to feel close to full. Maybe this works for women but for the average guy its under what is needed. As women usually need less calories per day unless training as an athlete
