Another great video - thanks Mr. See! I have a Yamaha PSR-EW300 (like PSR-E363) and I have learned more about it from you than any documents or videos produced by Yamaha. A comment about the sounds made by pressing keys - are they too loud? If pressed in a quiet room with the keyboard off you will hear the keys. But if you press the keys of a piano that has no strings installed in a quiet room, you will also hear the keys. My family had a Steinway baby grand refurbished which involved removing the strings. The keyboard made plenty of noise when played with no strings installed. It seemed loud because there was no piano sound to mask the keyboard noise, which isn’t noticeable to me under normal usage. The keys on an electronic keyboard can have the same effect. If the power’s off - if there are no “strings” - then you’ll hear the only sound in the room, which are key presses. If the power’s on but the volume’s low, or the instrument is using a delicate or faint voice, the key presses may still be obvious. Turn the volume up to the normal level of a grand piano (60-70db) or louder to drown them out if they bother you. If the noise really bothers you, don’t reject an otherwise suitable keyboard. Just buy headphones. Not earbuds. Real headphones, preferably over-the-ear. Excellent headphones are available at reasonable prices and you’ll never hear that keyboard again.

I have a PSR EW-300 and a Reface CP. The CP came with a MIDI and internal control instructions that include booting up with a key down like the reset with top key, but allows pedal type, local on/off, speaker on/off and other settings. Is there a similar way to handle settinga on the EW-300 and not have to dig through the menu?

EW300 wasn't designed as a midi controller. More for home use as arranger keyboard. Basic midi implementation.

Hello Jeremy! Thank you so much for your videos. They really helped me make a decision and get my first keyboard. I am a complete beginner and I just purchased the psr e463. I went for the 463 as I got it for a deal at $80 more than the 363 but I can't find the Yamaha Education Suite(Y.E.S) on it. I'm not sure if I made the right decision now as I thought the lesson features will help me learn faster. What do you suggest? Should I keep the 463 or exchange it for the 363? Thanks for watching. Do give my videos a thumbs up. The Y.E.S. is no longer available in the E4X3 series. I personally do not use it. I also do not find it a useful learning tool. You will learn much more and quicker using KZbin videos. The Y.E.S. system was developed during the days when youtube was in its infancy. Keep the E463. It will serve you well as you grow.

Casino made two big mistakes. No battery compartment in the CTX. 5000 and no true quick sampling in the last LK series and Chordana compatible keyboards.
