Nice work! If you listen to Oscar at half speed listen to which notes he disconnects and which he connects. For the most part he separates his notes and only uses a finger legato connection as an effect so you really notice that connected phrase. A topic rarely talked about is note duration. Not when the note is started but how long it is held. This is where Oscar's intense swing comes from. His control of the note lengths and which connect (also which he accents). It is a subtle difference in theory, but a major difference in achieving the sound he gets.

Thanx, Maestro. Did Oscar write this as an homage to Wynton Kelly, or perhaps as a take on "Pete Kelly's Blues(Peggy Lee)? 🌹🌹🌹

With the practice strategy you suggested in the last video, how do you suggest allocating time between the four sections?

Nice as always. However I'd suggest in investing a bit in some audio gear. 1 or 2 mics specifically. It's a real chore to hear you.
