C‘est vraiment magnifique. La plus belle composition de Debussy que je connaisse, c‘est „L‘Isle joyeuse“. Merci pour la leçon.

Thanks for showing that cool effect. Doctor Gradus ad Parnassum (Children’s Corner pieces don’t have French titles!) was one of the pieces I enjoyed learning in my teens (includes the directions to use main gauche for some of the top notes) so for that reason is probably my favorite Debussy composition although I wish I would learn more. I really like they way you incorporate elements of this type of music into your playing.

J'adore ça. Je me demands si je peux l'utiliser au milieux d'un solo et non seulement comme introduction, juste pour quelques mesures.

@@JeremySiskindYou mean "très bon" (the adj. not the adv. 😉 ). As East Europeans used to joke (post-Napoleonic influence), in France people are so intelligent that even the children speak French.

I notice there is a limit to how fast one plays the arpeggios, because if too quickly there won't be enough time to play the overhand melody notes. Also, if one does the both-hand melody notes in bass and treble, one can get a kind of call and response going, even though they are single notes each time.

Yes, absolutely - I agree with everything you said here...although you can work on the speed to which your hand crosses over.
