I found this gun at a pawn shop. It was brand new, never been fired and I got it for $400. It's the .40 polymer compact version with the 4" barrel. I've put about 1000 rounds through it in the last month or so and its an absolute dream to shoot. No FTF at all and I've tried the garbage ammunition just to test (TulAmmo, cheap reloads).I love it so much I'm going to buy the 9mm.

Jericho guns are in vast use here in Israel, all over the law enforcment forces including the army, the police, the border patrol police and also the prison service. Beyond that, many other privet security companies equip their guards with the Jericho, I worked for half a year as a school guard during my college studies as a side job, and I had a CZ-75 and the Jericho for most of my time there. the Glock-17 is also very popular here because of it's simplicity and accuracy.

I have an all-steel frame 941F, pre-2009 version, no rail and I love it. I've refinished it with cerakote and night sights and I have a great small of the back holster to carry it. I own quite a few pistols, certainly pistols more expensive and I love this gun. I would gladly sell my Glock and likely a few other pistols to buy more of these. I'm a CZ owner as well, but this gun is simply awesome! If people realized how great these are, they would see what a real pistol is all about. By the way I have a Beretta M9 as well and this gun is just better all around.

There really is too much emphasis put on an "audible reset" throughout the gun world. Lets face it..if you are at the range you have hearing protection on.. and likely not gonna hear it .. and if you are in a situation where you are not in the range chances are better than not, your not going to have hearing protection on and after that first round goes off you REALLY are not gonna hear the click of a reset.. it is in the feel on the reset.. and I would bet a bagel that you feel the steel jerichos reset just fine! I own the polymer 9mm it is as he describes.. Simply an amazing pistol! Its big.. Make no mistake.. Its not an everyday carry for those that conceal inside the waistband by people under 200lbs.. I love the pistol however after owning a CZp10 for my edc.. the jericho may be soon relpaced with a CZ Shadow 2 for my nightstand-target range pistol.. Like the Jericho you will not find one in every gun store but if I like it when I find it.. It may be replaced by CZ. I have NO complaint on the Jericho.. It is likely the best " go to war" pistol on the market. Im just wanting the Shadow2 for the extra weight and range ability. Just my 2cents..

Nice video. I'm a big fan of the Jericho and have one in 9mm, the 941f. Something you may not be aware though, as I wasn't until reading about it on a forum, is that the safety/decocker is also the firing pin block. This means if you did carry it with one in the chamber you'd want to carry it with the safety engaged. This is why the Israelis carry it with empty chamber. Again, nice video though.

thanks for the vid. The hole on the backstrap of the polymer facilitates a shoulder stock, I'm pretty sure. Put a grip on the rail and add a stock & you've got a real hot rod! Unfortunately, here, it's illegal unless you jump through a bunch of regulation hoops. I want one of these bad in 9mm.

@djarnoldo5166 жыл бұрын
So glad you made this comparison video; I have been puzzling over which to get. One important thing you didnt discuss at all is the weight. The F9 full size steel pistol weighs 37 oz unloaded, while the PL9 polymer weighs 28 oz. The F9 is a brick; not worth carrying all that weight. I also dont like the slide mounted decocker; the new PL9s have a frame mounted safety like a 1911 for cocked and locked carry. My bottom line: if you want a steel range gun, get the F9. For carry, get the PL9 with the frame safety.
@brookejohnson91295 жыл бұрын
I just don't trust the hammer cocked to rely on the safety, but other than that great gun. I know I can "decock" It myself and keep one Chambered but that's not great safety practices either.

Can you change out the polymer frame to a steel frame or do you have to buy a whole new gun
@winniechen79494 жыл бұрын
can they use the same holster?
@gregbutler68516 жыл бұрын
Why so accurate? It's because the steel frame is heavy. My 9mm is heavier than most 1911's. It lays in on the target with very little felt recoil. The SP01 and the Jericho is damn near the same pistol in weight/sights/ shoot-ablity etc. But I find myself shooting the Jericho more than my other CZ's.
@brookejohnson91295 жыл бұрын
I think it is because the slide sits inside the frame like a cz75 is part of the accuracy.

I have an older all steel model of the 941, when it was called the "Uzi Eagle", in .40 S&W caliber. It is one of the most accurate semi-auto pistols I have in my gunsafe. I once hit a coyote at 60 meters with it, using a car top as a steady rest. It doesn't have the audible or tactile "trigger reset", but that is not important to me. It works when I want it to. It came with "Trijicon" type night sights already installed on it. The sights are now starting to get dim because I've owned it for over 20 years, and they need to be replaced someday if I use it for night work. I love it. >>> P.S., Mine doesn't have accessory rails on the steel frame. The barrel on mine also has polygonal rifling. No lands and grooves to collect brass or lead shavings.

that's good to know. Thank you. I guess the only real negative is that they're made of carbon steel instead of stainless, but I personally would keep one in my home primarily, except for when I'd take it to the range. I wouldn't want to carry around something that heavy, but I feel this is exactly what I'd want next to my bed at night, in case of a break in.

Kyle Rainer my .45 Jerico replaced my Glock 21 as my HD pistol
@cd4playa12458 жыл бұрын
Yeah Glocks feel good in my hand, but I've seen other videos on here exposing the limp-wristing susceptibility in Glocks, and that kinda scares me away from buying one. He tried the same test with a few other guns, a Sig included, and he couldn't induce a stovepipe malfunction. I was about to get a 7 round S and W 686 revolver and put 38special in it for HD, because then at least you know you'll have that reliability, but if a Jericho/Baby DE is almost just as reliable, and has over double the ammo, then I'll probably go with one of these. Apparently 357 mag isn't the best idea for home defense for multiple reasons, which is why I'm looking into a 9mm.

I have been studying the Jericho 941 since 2009. I looked but never seen one in any gun store or show. So at the time, I bought the Glock 19 and a Glock 34 a year later that I tricked out. I got tired of looking for the Jericho, so last week I ordered one in polymer, full size in 9mm. It became too much of an obsession for me not to buy that gun even though I have yet to even see one, much less hold one. I hope I get the accessories you mentioned because this is not an easy gun for accessories and Glock spoiled me in that department.
@vkyle91x8 жыл бұрын
I can't say what you'll get with yours but I can promise that you won't regret buying it once you've handled and shot it
@astrofrk8 жыл бұрын
My Glock 19 still rules on concealed carry (even if I had bought the Jericho compact) but the Jericho should be good for home defense. If I ever go open carry (I have carried concealed with a permit since 2003), it might be good IF I can find a secure holster and night sights. I have always carried concealed for tactical reasons but with Orlando and all, I'm thinking about going open at a gun rights protest. It will be nice to have something unusual after owning 2 Glocks and 2 1911's before then.
@Whatisright8 жыл бұрын
This is one of those guns that any random gun store "might" have. I ordered mine online. Like yours it's a full sized polymer 9mm. And since it's at times a hard find in stores you'll find it's the same problem for holsters and accessories. However, being variant of the CZ a lot of those accessories may work. I can tell you that the mags do. If you can't find a Jericho holster you can always try out EA Witness holsters or regular CZ holsters. Thinking of getting another Jericho now. 9mm compact, but all steel.

@beardedvegan68235 жыл бұрын
@Brooke Johnson, in the R model Jerichos, the safety/decocker also acts as the firing pin block. The biggest issue people have is that you can unintentionally engage the safety when racking the slide.
