2 notes - get a square container to make the soap in, it'll make pouring easier and less messy. 2nd, flip the cutter and cut from the top loaf down, it'll make it much easier. Great job!

Absolutely gorgeous slab mold, so proud of you! Love the colors, I’m sure it smells amazing. Ellen Ruth uses the hanger swirl, when she makes her slab mold soap. It’s way smaller then the WW slab mold. 😍🙏🏾💕💫✨✨

Lol! Takes me back to my first ever 25 ib batch! 😅 I have 2 counter tops to work on, 90° to each other, so I could pour into buckets on one, and grab from there to the one with the mold on it. Definitely improves the flow! 😊 PS. I do mica sprays too 😊What's a bar without a little glitter?! 🎉

Very nice! I work with large slab molds as well. I find it easier to pour off my smaller containers first and save the larger amount of batter in the original large container that the batter was blended in. One less container to wash as well.😊

Don’t be scared to use a lot more mica. I do and I get the super vibrant colors (like your bath bombs) in my soap! And they still lather white and don’t stain etc. great video! I hope to try a slab mold at some point this year

In Minnesota you have get to reregister your business make and it’s free after you do it the first time. Every year I get a bunch of “businesses” That can do it for 300 or more for me. Yes! Only go to your states website for all of that stuff or your accountant… who does it for me. You got lucky with them just giving up your money back. Thank goodness! And yes, your Employee Identification Number (EIN) should be free.

Jerika. We have the same over here with online people offering to get registration business abn and setting up websites all for money. Like there some are free if you go to the government site. I nearly used one as it looked like a government page then stopped and checked so glad I did as it wasn’t. Always good to raise these issues as often you can’t get money back glad you did. Oh goodness please don’t stand on steps to pour your batter, one slip away from hurting yourself. Yes the retired nurse in me holding my breath.

Get yourself a food grade mixer drill attachment. It will be a game changer for mixing your oil/butter/lye blend and allow you to use deeper buckets to properly mix. I'm getting one on order ASAP!

I have seen some makers put baby powder on the wood so that the mold slides out easier. Definitely looked challenging but only time will be your friend in mastering.

I find it soooo much easier when stirring in micas and fragrance to use whisks rather than the spatulas, yoh can get nice big stainless or rubber ones, to me it covers more area inside the larger pots.Beautiful job!❤

Hi, most soap makers use smaller pitchers to pour soap in the buckets for less mess, even though it will be more dishes. Congrats on ur first slap soap, the soap came out gorgeous. ❤

I have a suggestion for your colorants. If you measure out a percentage of your oil weight, you'll always have enough colorants! I think 1-2% should be enough. I Dream In Soap does it and I think it's a great idea, I've done it before and it's worked out great.
