I visit the pier a lot, I like your videos. It's great to see especially the young people learning to do fun and positive things. The bait tank idea is great! "Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day...Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime."

Just wondering why you guys didn't net the bat Ray instead of pier gaff unless you are eating it
@theperchjerker2 жыл бұрын
We run a business that is contingent on us having bat ray as bait. This is part of fishing and it’s 100% legal. That is why we gaffed it. We do not waste any of it either. Watch all of my videos, we release over 95% of what we catch.
@tylermay10382 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for the your input. The reason we gaffes and debarred the batrays is because we have some very big trips coming up all over. Batrays are one of our primary baits. We debarred the batrays for a few reasons 1. We use them for bait 2. We have physically seen people say they know how to handle rays too only be stabbed just seconds later 3. If it is kept for bait once we pull it out of the freezer to use we don’t want to be stabbed by the barb when digging them out of the bags. 4. Even if we do release them we still debarre them for safety reasons for ourselves. It takes approximately 2-3 weeks for a ray to grow it’s barb back. Thank you for reading and best of luck!
