Hopefully one of the new features is something to make them cast better. I have always liked Rogues but could never get them to cast like some of the others.

when it comes to water color. how dirty is the dirtiest water color you would throw a jerkbait? 0-2ft? 3ft-4ft?

Do you have recommendations for getting the old school rogues to suspend other than suspend dots or strips or maybe in addition to them. They weren't made to suspend but I remember some old school guys on grand that would catch huge bags on them. They had a way to actually make them sink very slowly

Can always put bigger split rings or bigger short shank hooks. Might have to experiment quite a bit, but it can work.

Focus on the front hook and split ring on a two hook bait and 1/3-2/3 front and middle weight split on a three hook bait. You get the best action when the bait can pivot on the center point. This also helps the bait rest horizontally in the water column. You can also get lead wire from a fly shop and wrap the hook shanks, stays on way better than suspend straps. Suspend strips are nice because you can better fine tune the center of gravity.

If you want to get crazy wrap a little lead wire around the hook too.
