Hi Froogle, Re the controls; it is indeed super clunky to set up, but I found selecting the "Dev" controller option allowed me to bind anything on my HOTAS / rudder pedals. The "Not OK" comes as a result of not having a button / key assigned to every single control input (for some reason the sim insists you bind something to every control, rather than just assigning what you want). So if you have any "Not Assigned" etc in the left column (ie the column where you set your controller bindings), the sim will not let you save your control bindings. Basically just assign a key / button to every control input and you should be able to save the profile and good to go. Agreed, overall there is nothing too inspiring about this sim, but hopefully that helps you on your way a little : ) All the best!

At least this sim has birds... I've been waiting for more than a decade for Condor to add them. (Don't get me wrong, I've spent literally thousands of hours on Condor, and I love it to pieces)

From what I understand, some graphical glitches and the inability to assign controls ( solved in the comments below), seem like trivial downsides. What is the core experience like?

You said “ oh deer “ but that’s not a deer, that’s a seagull !

Why is the blue on the artificial horizon below and the brown above when you aren't flying upside-down??
@ChuckOwl3 жыл бұрын
That's because the glider in question is the LET L-13 Blaník, a Czech glider from the 1950's that was used by Eastern Bloc countries. Design conventions and reference systems differed for a few things for Eastern aircraft, like measurement units for altitude and airspeed indications. The "western" brown-ground/blue-sky convention was reversed for USSR/russian artificial horizons of that period, as seen in other aircraft of the era like the Yak-52 or the L-39 Albatros. Most Russian-built aircraft have a similar ADI design. The background display is colored as in a Western instrument, but moves up and down only to indicate pitch. A symbol representing the aircraft (which is fixed in a Western instrument) rolls left or right to indicate the bank angle.

That brings back memories Froogle I did my SilverC 5 hour flight in a Blanik. I have to say that Condor 2 is really fun and works great with my Oculus Rift. I have UK scenery installed and fly tasks downloaded from Condor Club.

Shouldn't the seagulls try and fly away from you too?
@weswheel48343 жыл бұрын
Noooo, the seagulls are the cunning way for you to see where the thermals are. If they flew off, that'd spoil it! (And at least it isn't random herds of deer on the runway, unlike in probably my favourite flight sim).

Also has no TrackIR support... plus don't forget to exclude it in your antivirus (they suggest) for maximum performance! Hard pass, on this money grab from Aerosoft.
