Man I wish I was hip that early, I didn't get on to Spitta heavy until he was on 106 and park promoting an album and he dropped that song Capitol with 2 Chainz, right around when he started messing with Harry fraud. @@StayTru101 yeah it was a few projects I wasn't feeling, the one he did with alchemist i didn't like that one and I don't like when he force himself over trap beats because I look at him as a lyricist. His best projects are the ones where he gets the best beats like songs like job or songs like ventilation or Billy Ocean its like the stuff he drop with alchemist been a hit or miss covert coupe is a classic but the other stuff with alchemist i don't know but I think its because as he's getting older he's leaning towards that Westcoast song more than ever he never dropped a wack song on a cardo beat, thats his lane those underground Midwest or Westcoast type beats with the pilot talk type beats but then again I didn't like that last pilot talk either number 1 2 and 3 were classic though but hopefully this project is dope because Jermaine Dupri made the best Westcoast type beats back then so hopefully he gave spitta some shit

JD actually kicked off the Doninant era of Atlanta that we're currently in. He lead the "Lean & Snap" era which made rap more mainstream and shortly after people were able to afford recording equipment and the current sound was the "lean & snap" sound so they emulated that and contined to evolve from there. Its wild to say but JD, Soulja Boy, Kanye (by way of Kid Cudi) and Drake molded this current state of hip hop from the 2000s. 🤔

@@big6chief594 he definitely talk to you he been my dog since 03 we talk atleast twice a month for the last 20. Cars, pitfalls, sports and old hip hop he can talk on that all day.. he was saying last time how blessed he was to be around this long and started naming rapper who was out when he first came out, and was wondering where they was now. Saying they had way bigger songs and just basically counting his blessings.. hell other than Nikki and drake who from that young money crew still popping? From when he was on no limit 504 boys who still popping? Blessed

I used to play the h3ll out of Life in 1472... I feel that whole album was a banger! Being in the south myself, JD is one of my favorite producers... and I love how he boosts other artists.

Wow this is an odd pairing, but I'm excited about this. They're both so dope, and talented as hell. I know the creativity is going to be inspiring. I'm happy for both of them, because they definitely deserve their flowers. MFers really not fuk'n wit them, but they're unrated. Love Curren$y.

My opinion with the appreciation for hip hop discussion is that since it’s become easy to get on, you’ll see less artist giving respect to other artists. The game is oversaturated with rappers who feel like they’re better than the next man & i don’t mean like friendly competition. You got a younger generation that will say Jay Z or Wayne is wack because 1, they can’t relate to their content & 2, they believe they themselves make better music. It’s gonna keep being like this for a very long time

I hate that the only questions Charla asked Spitta were “high questions”. He’s so much more than smoking. He probably don’t realize the legend he is.
