I was going through a rough time in my life when I first heard a young man cover this song at a church in Portmore. I walked in the service a stranger that day, looking for a sign from God as to why I should continue to live and how it was even possible for me to heal myself. As he sang the song and I listened to the words I cried like a baby at the back of the church. I ran home reciting the lyrics I remembered and instantly went to google trying to figure out the creator of this powerful record. That was in summer 2017, and I listened to it several times each day: before work, on my lunch break, before I went to sleep. This song has helped me so much in my healing and my relationship with God. I still listen to this song at least once a day. I thank God for that young man who sang this song on that day where I felt broken, but I'm even more grateful for Jermaine who was used and moved by the most high to lace these words together to remind us God never leaves us regardless of what happens and we can still find a home, true love and victory in Him 💛
