They are all talented, but Michael was truly a natural born star and everyone saw it. People were immediately attracted to him and his undeniable presence. I believe they were all a little jealous. I mean who wouldn’t be. Nobody is running out looking for albums by Jermaine. Michael’s music is still selling worldwide as we speak. He was truly a phenomenon.

What Jermaine said at @10:44 is so spot on. Hollywood definitely isolated MJ from the rest of his family and singled him out. And sure enough, he lost his mind. He was the glorious Michael Jackson, but he was extremely lonely. And it is true, if you are not apart of a tribe or a family, you are less likely to survive in the world.

Michael carried the Motown songs to the end of his days. This suggests that he always remembered where his career began. As for the brothers, everyone was on equal terms. It's just that Michael is a genius, a nugget, a man- music. He needed to develop and move on, which he did.

Michael was a genius. He pushed the envelope not only musically but technology wise as well. He was a show man and had no problem using illusion technique like the screen to make him bigger. Clay animations in his short movies like moonwalker. Making short movies was popular back in the 40s I think so he something old fresh. Michael was a study. A forever student and kind hearted.

@@elisageorge2261Let's! It is common knowledge that Jermaine and Randy were but two of several members of the family that used Mama Katherine to get Michael to give them $$$$$$ and she would do it. It frustrated Michael so much NO ONE could just pop up to Neverland. Saddest part is when Michael passed Janet and LaToya went to the house where he died grabbing money, filling garbage bags of his belongings. Basic scavenger styff. And I think you might have heard.or read about a particularly ugly time when Janet, Randy and Jermaine mobbed over to Mama K's DEMANDING to be given some of MJ's money. I will never understand Janet's participation in this extremely ugly incident as she had HER OWN money, but I do know I haven't been able to look at her the same again.

Also when my father died of course we went to his place to clean up, gather important papers, family momentous $ etc. Family should get it not the state bottom line. Michael felt responsible to help his brothers & sisters when they were in need. There's nothing wrong with that. My problem is everyone else besides family using Michael. He had a very kind & big heart. That sometimes got him into big trouble.

I say that for the Jackson brothers..and Joseph also. Nobody knows what his true pressures were. 9 living children, a young wife...in Jim crow era...working 2 steel mill jobs 16 hrs A day 6 days a week in a 2 bedroom house...all the children need and want something different everyday. No matter what tho, Joseph didn't leave Mrs. Katherine with the load. He could have went to work and kept driving to California on his own. He never left his family. Joseph did what he could to make sure his family HIS CHILDREN were successful. Ppl, men now a days can handle 1 child and a young wife in a 2 bedroom working crazy hrs because the family depends on him to provide. Most men today find ANY REASON to leave. We gotta give Joe some credit. He was very hard, strict, controlling...sometimes abusive and worked those boys past exhaustion. But he used his know how from the steel mills and molded his family into icon status for all time. The Jackson name is the golden ticket in Hollywood. We can fault Joseph for ALOT of things but just as bad as he was he meant well. He was from a different time. I bet parents now call Joseph Jackson from the grave and want him to whoop their disrespectful, ungrateful... intitled kids into shape so they appreciate... understand and respect their parents. Some kids now a days could benefit from ol joes switch or belt 😅.

I’m always one to give Jermaine his props and the rest of the brothers. Jermaine was extremely talented and his solo albums were pretty good they just weren’t pushed as well. It’s just hard to hold a candle to a once in a lifetime talent as Michael Jackson. Some stars shine brighter but than the others but they still shine. Was Jermaine jealous? I don’t know if that’s accurate but was their competition heck yeah. Michael was competitive himself. I think in the early days Michael looked up to Jermaine. Their co leads were magical together.

Jermaine wanted that the family stays always together. Michael had to follow his own career, to develop his own style of music and dance moves. He had to break away from the family to find his own unique, authentic way of creativity. The way he pronounced his words with his own flavor and his own style and swag set influences for years to come and changed music forever. They still do it in pop music today. He had to do this alone, his brother's were not able to hold him back or they realized that they just were not equal at his level of talent.

@@Mimi-cg2cwtrue but Alejandra wasn't Randy's wife, she was his girlfriend and they had children together, she hooked up with Jermaine to spite Randy because he wasn't ready for marriage, but Randy did marry a girl named Eliza but they eventually broke up. Jermaine first cheated on Hazel Gordy with a woman named Margaret Maldonado and they had 2 sons together and yeah he did leave first and was insanely jealous of Michael and his success, hence the song Word To The Bad, a jealous and insulting shot at Michael. Jermaine 's love for women is public knowledge, he has always been into himself, sure he loves his family, and is very talented but personally and speaking for myself he is just too egotistical and self centered, always craved Michael 's success and popularity. What he did to Randy was absolutely horrible, writing a song like that about Michael is one thing but doing what he did to Randy was inexcusable and so very hard on Randy, that's why the bond between them is broken ( and Alejandra, well don't make me lose my religion, please) she's a jezebel personified, but no Randy and Alejandra never married. You can Google it but I knew anything that when it was public knowledge and scheming conniving Alejandra did an interview about it

Michael wanted to stay as far as he could from his brothers/sisters and overall Jackson family- Katherine was the only exception. Family was important in slavery out of slavery and up until the 90s. Black people start being successful some rich and famous then selfish with pride. The world did compare Germaine to Michael and definitely tried to compete Janet to Michael. Tried to destroyed the father but he said it without daddy it wouldn't be a Jackson 5. No Tina Turner without Ike. Issac Hayes said he was so poor he prayed every night as a kid for food and a bed to sleep in. These sad stories is what made these people become conquers and not victims.

Jermaine is consistent as hell. Outside forces tried & continue to try to crack that family unity. The siblings fight & get on each other's nerves but when all is said & done, THEY ARE TOGETHER. Remember, it was BROTHER RANDY who got Michael in contact with Tom Mesereau, the lawyer who saved Michael from the kangaroo court Tom Sneddon tried to snare him in. The family came to that courtroom in all dressed in White UNIFIED. The family always said they were trying to get through that barrier between Michael & Michael's circle. The barrier began forming after the move from Motown & definitely by Off The Wall after Michael removes Joe as manager. But Thriller is when that barrier became almost insurmountable. Too much fame forced Michael into seclusion. Even from his own family. And he kept looking for outside families to befriend to get that family feeling back. Once his brothers & sisters grew up & had families of their own, it would never be the same as the old days. Michael hated when his brothers got married & moved out in the Jackson 5 days. In a strange way, Michael's Witchhunts forced him to reforge bonds with his family again. When his professional life had a setback, it was an opportunity for his personal life to repair. His fans are a family too but way too crazy for a proper family life. He needed to stay bonded to his blood family. Success cracked the Jackson Family, there's no doubt about it. But the Jacksons are not broken. Katherine made sure of that. She holds that whole family together to this day. Jermaine remembers what it was all about.

It wasn't all Michael, the family was dysfunctional and Michael put distance between him and his brothers for a good reason. If Michael didn't step away and do his own thing they would have held him back to no end, he was already feeling the pressure at the start of the 80's when he waned to branch out on his own. Michael was always close to his Mother and he never stopped supporting his family financially, but his brothers did a lot of things that affected him throughout his life so I don't blame him for needing space fro them. Every time they did get together MJ was pressured to have some reunion tour with them because they wanted the money, even going as far as getting his mother to try and talk him into certain business deals that weren't good for MJ. There was a lot of pressure put on him and he did the right thing in keeping some distance in my opinion.

He was nurturing and supportive to Tito's sons, Taj, Taryll and TJ. He was their mentor and he signed them to his label MJ Productions. I do understand that Michael didn't wanted to be always responsible for the financial problems of his brothers. They always wanted something from him. They behaved almost like all the other people in Michael's life. It's so clear to me, that this was a big problem in Michael's life. The brothers often asked Katherine to ask Michael for more and more money because they had house payments, child supports...Michael didn't want to provide them with a life long financial support. Michael didn't include his father and brothers in his will. Michael's father demanded a monthly allowance from the Michael Jackson Estate. So, yes, I fully support your statements!

He discovered and Produced Switch and Produced Whitney Houston's diamond debut album. Enough said. Give him his just do. Michael Jackson is probably the best entertainer that ever lived. Not many compares to that. !!!!?

Pure facts!!! I really wish MJ stayed close to his family, instead of the greedy opportunists he decided to associate with. I know him and his family had major disagreements, but at the end of the day, that was his family and they truly loved him. They always supported him in dark times, when his “friends” left him to suffer alone. I love how Janet never isolated herself from the family, and i believe that’s one of the reasons she is still alive, healthy, and successful even to this day.

That’s right. Jermaine was very jealous of MJ . He even wrote a song to MJ “ word to the badd” there are 3 versions of this song but first one is really something! If u really focus on lyrics u ll realize this is off the charts dark jealousy on steroids! Don’t get confused! There’s envy which means- I love what u have and I wish I could have some of it too. Jealousy is completely different ballgame! Jealousy means- I WANT what U HAVE and I HATE U for it
