I have a huge understanding to Michael and his problem of not being able to sleep. I had been having this problem for YEARS since my childhood. When you cant sleep for a very long period all you want is to finally fall asleep no matter what. When you take sleeping pills for a long time you need stronger and stronger ones. When your life is tough, insomnia is even more severe and then basically nothing helps. Michael's death scares me so much and i feel so sad that he left us like that. I remember, was afraid to die of not being able to sleep and my doctor just told me "nobody has died from not being able to sleep". Really?

Michael never wanted to hurt anyone, he clearly was exhausted and just wanted relief from whatever his underlying problems may have been. I just know that once the doctor came into Michael’s life, suddenly he was dead. Conrad had bad intentions to begin with because he was excited about getting paid $150,000/month and therefore had motivation to give Michael anything he wanted. As a result Paris, Prince and Blanket are all suffering without a father and a mother.

I'm sick of people referring to Michael as a 'druggie' or 'junkie' as if he was just another typical addict. His situation was completely different than other celebs who got addicted to drugs to get high, Michael simply wanted to be able to sleep. I suffer from mild insomnia myself, and I can't even explain how frustrating it is when all you want to do is get some sleep, but you just can't. I can really sympathize with Michael because my insomnia is no where near as severe as his was, no wonder he hated to tour.
@whataboutredlorry6 жыл бұрын
He was addicted to mediations - that doesn't make him a bad person. He had a dependency on pain medications at one time, he entered rehab for that in the 90s. And in later depositions he did say he may have been impaired from pain medications while signing documents/contracts in 2003. Those medications are very addictive. People take them for legitimate reasons, on prescriptions from Doctors... and can end up chemically addicted... and feel the need to continue taking them. To keep getting more prescriptions, even from several doctors to continue to get access. Some people who get cut off from Doctors then move from opiod pain medication to illegal drugs like heroin for the same effects. Celebrities often don't get cut off - they just keep shopping around for new doctors and they always find some doctor or person who is willing to break rules or to go against best medical practice and continue to prescribe pain killers, sedatives and in Michaels case... a Doctor giving a surgical anaesthetic in non-surgical (and completely dangerous) setting. Again, this doesn't make Michael a bad person. He was human, he could get chemically addicted like any other person. And he'd had so much pain, hurt and frustration, so many betrayals in his life - I wouldn't blame him for enjoying the calming effects of sedatives.

MJ hated touring bcoz of this sleeping problem! Screaming fans, horrible Tabloids stories etc! I've been having irregular sleeping patterns for just a month, apparently; two drunk neighbors knock on my window so that I open the gate for them to enter at unreligious hours (am not doing it no more, I warned them)! So, last evening I came back home exhausted, I slept on top of my bed from around 7:20pm, till 5am, I've just woken up! This is a body compensating for the lost hours of lack of sleep! Michael needed sleep, we all need to sleep enough or we are dead.
@chichichi9985 жыл бұрын
I completely understand what it's like to have insomnia and know you have a full day of high pressure, strenuous work in a matter of hours or minutes, and for this to occur repeatedly for days and weeks. I understand that it's harder to fall asleep after being very active and physical, as I used to work out rigorously at nighttime after a long day at work, and I couldn't fall asleep at all even though I knew I was exhausted (too pumped up).... And this disrupted my sleeping pattern. I understand the feeling very well. And I love MJ. However, I also do think there is a health issue if all of the benzodiazepines in high doses were not working for him... I just wish he had met a great doctor who could've helped him at an earlier stage instead of having anesthesia as an option. Just very sad that our world lost a great entertainer and icon, knowing he still had years left in him if things did't go as it did in 2009...

Do you think it was possible he was addicted? Yes. Of course. He was likely chemically dependent on sedative and pain-relief medication... which can actually cause sleep problems... to the point that you REQUIRE medication just to sleep. Michael looked around for Doctors, searching for Doctors that would administer propofol. He'd had a chemical dependency on pain-relief in the 90s, which required rehabilitation. These medications are habit-forming, they are addictive. Sedative medications are addictive. When the medications wear off, they can leave you in a state of anxiety and make it hard to sleep. Michael needed help. He needed an intervention to get down the root of what was causing him issues and to really look into the medication he was taking. Which medication, and how much - and to start weaning him slowly off of those medications.
@rachelblackwell52075 жыл бұрын
You’re right. A lot of people who love Michael don’t want to hear he was an addict but he was. I don’t judge him for it. He could still perform on whatever he took over the years but the truth is he doctor shopped, could pay for whatever he wanted and continually sought relief from his physical and emotional pain. I’m not surprised given what he’s been through.

I ain't believing anything coming out of his sibling's mouth. The truth is bitter and the truth is he was very isolated during his last years. His only family were his children. I'd rather believe them, but unfortunately they were too young to understand about his medications or how he took it so I don't really think they know how these medicines physiologically contributed to his death but they definitely know the circumstances that made him take all those medicines, his gruelling rehearsals, his nightime crying on his children's shoulders saying "they'll kill me". The problem is, his children never explicitly discussed his death ever and I don't blame them for that. The point is: they're the only ones that can actually give us the truth.

Michael got into drugs when he got burned in the Pepsi comm in 83'-84'. At somepoint Michael went to Dr's who gave him what he wanted.

Pain pills are an opiate, it does make you makes you high. Addiction is just simply maintaining so you don’t crash & detox
@sol29374 жыл бұрын
Yah! People think that drugs are only what we call street drugs but that is not true. Michael Jackson was an addict even though he was such a rich and powerful addict that he even treated his doctors as his servants in order to inject him with whatever he wanted.

I think it’s because he didn’t eat though. Like all of this sounds familiar to me when I was underweight and having appetite issues on top of exercising excessively everyday

Michael wasn’t a drug addict. I believe he used them to sleep and for pain. Michael needed to get real help.
