It is great Coach Mayo is looking at everything a new both the offense and defense regardless of the results of the 2023 season. As to offense, Coach Mayo should talk to Byron Leftwich. Leftwich is still available and he has the ability to coach up what we have currently and share his knowledge with Coach Mayo. Zappe showed that D. Parker can play, Kendrick Bourne was lights out before the injury, and JuJu will be better next year. Plus D. Douglas looks good and waiting in the wings is Kayshon Boutte. At running back, we have Stevenson coming back next year and hopefully Zeke sticks around. We got to resign Henry and we should also resign Gesicki. The key is the offensive line. Lowe, Sow, Ferentz, Onwenu, and Mafi are kids. David Andrews sent a message to all of them - they got to work hard in the off season so hopefully all of them are in Foxboro now working out and getting ready. They really are the key to next year. Brock Purdy looked pedestrian yesterday so if the 49ers get knocked out this week or don't win the Super Bowl and Purdy plays pedestrian, Kyle Shanahan will be calling for Mac Jones, leaving Zappe to be the bridge hopefully to Jaylen Daniels, giving Jaylen a couple of years to watch and learn the NFL game like Jordan Love. This leaves the QB position to Zappe and anyone else Mayo brings in to compete as the bridge quarterback. Zappe has mocky and is cool under pressure so it could be a couple of fun years if he has an offensive line. With Judron coming back and if they sign Uche and Dugger, the Pats D will continue to be elite. Looking forward to 2024. Hopefully Mayo will become Hoddie 2!

Potentially but there’s another interview today he did on the local station where he said regarding the draft “we are going to draft the best player at one of the most important positions, and you can put the pieces together” follow by him patting the reporter on the shoulder

True,, but having a top receiver is also one of the most important positions, and Harrison is considered the most can’t miss player in the entire draft. If the top two QBs are gone, I think they take Harrison.
