Jerry climbs on me - Jerry Squirrel

I was getting some sun and Jerry wanted more nuts. She came over and climbed right up on me. I don't want her being too comfortable with humans so I tried to shoo her away.
The next she did the same thing and ended up biting me, probably thinking my finger was an almond. She didn't bite hard but this is why I don't want her getting too close to humans.

I can't get over how beautiful she is now. I remember last fall her tail was kind of beat up. It sure is full and bushy now. I think she wanted a hug. My favorite video was when she was smaller and sleeping in a glass jar.🤣🤣

Yeah she is looking good now. Her fur got patchy after winter but it seems to be coming back in nicely.

Aww how sweet! Let her crawl on you. She's your friend. Try to wear long pants though, their claws are like tiny daggers.

She did it again the next day but ended up biting me. I think she is always looking for food and doesn't understand that I don't just magically produce it from my hands. She didn't bite too hard but it's enough that I don't think I want her climbing on me anymore!

I'm a little surprise by your reaction but maybe you're right. She won't bite you on purpose and I learned that something you must be around a squirrel is calm. I don't think that she could approach other humans, your are special to her don't forget that. I've had a squirrel friend for about 3 years, she is wild and sometimes she would bite my finger because she's nervous because of different factors, noise, other squirrels, birds etc. but she doesn't do that anymore at all.

She tends to bite when she gets close because she gets so excited for food, so I try to keep her from climbing up onto us.

@@JerrySquirrel They are very sensitive creatures and it's a challenge to interact with them, they also have different personalities.

Definitely, thanks for the feedback. I thought the zoom would make it too blurry but it seems to work pretty well so I can start using it more

She is so attached to you and wonderful to watch. Yea- wear long pants and sweatshirt next time. Try not to get agitated that is when she will bite. Clearly tho she just wanted to play around.😁😁
