Down another Suggs rabbit hole, is always the best rabbit hole. Dammers was such an important person for Suggs and Madness. "It must be love" at the French is another great Suggs moment. The man was made for youtube.

Damn...I wish I’d been at this gig.I was a rudie in the late 70s/early 80s,and loved the 2 Tone/SKA revival of The Specials,Madness,The Selecter,The Beat,Bad Manners & The Bodysnatchers.Suggs paying nuff respect to Jerry Dammers,who created the 2 Tone movement in Coventry,harking back to the Ska era of the 60s and early 70s(although Madness were doing a similar thing in North London).I just wish The Specials would put whatever differences they have to one side,and as The Blues Brothers said,’Get the band back together’,for a series of gigs.Jerry was the main man,and although they lost JB,the drummer & RICO,the trombonist,a few years back,the bulk of the band is still there.A 2 Tone/Ska extravaganza with all the main players of that era would be a fantastic summer festival.Its such a shame when bands fall apart,because of internal conflicts(UB40,The Specials,The Beatles,Oasis,etc)😪
