TNA started with great potential. I understand Jerry wanting out, due to his stress. At first, Panda Energies' funding looked to help TNA grow. They just needed to let Jeff Jarrett and his team handle the wrestling side. Bringing in Christian Cage and Sting, were major steps of growth. Somoa Joe and Abyss were homegrown stars, that completed the puzzle. But, bringing in Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff killed TNA's growth. They tried becoming WCW/NWO Part 2. By that time, it was to late to fix it.

Growing up in Nashville, and having gone to school with Jeff and his older brother, Jerry Jr., I would have thought Jeff would have pursued the other sports he Excelled at. Jr. was a photographer for some years. Not sure where he went with things after that. Jeff pursued his fathers legacy, good or bad. Memphis Wrestling created almost EVERY NAME known in the business from 1979 to 1993. True, some wrestlers ended in Memphis, but MOST made a name there and moved to bigger things. Vince could not shut down Memphis, THE LAST TRUE TERRITORY, it was his proving ground. If anyone has a question, I will give over 50 wrestlers that went through Memphis that became millionaires because of Jarrett and Lawler. Grew up with it and knew the family. Miss Lance Russell, especially!!!!

I look at a guy like Bruce Prichard as someone who likes to entertain. He exaggerates stories for a laugh and I ENJOY his tales, especially his stories of Jerry Jarrett. I think it's pretty obvious, though that Vince doesn't think of Jerry the way Bruce would have you believe. Otherwise Vince wouldn't have had him on board in the 90's for as long as he had and Vince wouldn't have invited him for the meeting described above.

Jeff Jarrett made it huge in wrestling when he pushed himself, or when his dad was pushing him hard in the USWA as a top face. Jeff Jarrett's physique changed over the years as well, take a look online, he's a lot thicker than people make like. His arms were huge, I don't think he was natural. He probably felt he needed to be bigger to make it in the big promotions. I heard Bruce say Jarrett was smaller than he expected, and I think it had to do more with height than anything, and this is a pretty thick Jarrett, like I said.

Another thing he lost a lot of most of his money in tna. He invested most of his money and lost all of his money in tna which is why he can't stand Dixie and was angry at his son for bringing him in to tna.he was smart until the end. But vince am sured helped him out until the end. These old guy helped vince in the fincance department he said in these interview and he did something positive since vince offerd him a generous contract to stay.
