Love these “Original” JJ interviews! I saw him as a kid “at the Lexington (KY) Catholic High School gym” as Nick Goulas would always say when promoting the matches on TV. It was a special matches night where Jarret boxed Karl Von Bronner, Tojo Yamamoto had a judo jacket match with Kurt Von Bronner, and Jackie Fargo was supposed to have a chain match with their manager Saul Weingerov (I have NO idea if I spelled those names right!). Jackie didn’t show, so another wrestler, Eddie something, took his place. I think Eddie was what we call a midcard wrestler today. Not a jobber but not the star Jarret, Tojo, and Jackie were. Anyone know who that might have been? I came across a name on Wikipedia once that I think was him but I forgot the name. He was mentioned as an afterthought on some rasslin’ page, probably Nick Goulas’ profile page.
