When i was first given Live at Greune Hall, I played it incessantly. for 3 years i listened to nothing but JJW, and he is never far from my go to list. And this song was close to end of tape, and I thought Jerry Jeff was getting drunk as the night progressed. But seeing this, it is just as raunchy, loud and wild. And I don't think Jerry Jeff even drank at this point. Thanks Jerry Jeff. I'm glad you didn't suffer too long, and are in the presence of God right now.

It is my deepest goal to visit and perhaps live there somehow.

That's subjective. They're both great in their own right (and Confederate Railroad's music video is what really raised this song to a new level and brought attention to it that it never would have received otherwise). And no this is not the original. The original was done by its writer Chris Wall. Jerry heard it being played live at a bar in WY and asked if they could show him how to play it. He then recorded his version which was the first version put down on an official record label. But that doesn't make his version any more "original" than Confederate Railroad's version. Neither does it make his version more or less awesome than the version he heard or Confederate Railroad's or his own or anybody else's various live versions. It's just a great song at its very core and it's one that can be altered and played differently live by many bands (and by the same bands in different versions) and it never fails.
