When Jerry bought the team Troy Aikman was entering the league as the best prospect at QB in many years. The team already had Michael Irvin, Nate Newton, Jim Jeffcoat and a few othes that would help make the championship teams of the 90s. So he fell into a situation with 2 of his big 3 stars already in place and a young core of developing stars. Jerry's best move was hiring Johnson and weight training so he could easily liff the Lombardy Trophy. Since those halcyon days it has been an up and down slog to mediocrity.
