That story about him going to an NWA convention around 78, it shows that some of those guys were smart enough to see that things were going to change 5 or so years down the line. It just always is talked about like they had no clue ,but apparently some of them did

Jerry won me over with his WCCW work . Getting exciting matches out of Kerry Von Erich is not an easy thing to convince me of as I was not a Kerry Von Erich fan . I enjoyed his run as the top heel then . Until then I never had the opportunity to see much of his work . I wondered if the hype around Jerry was accurate .

I always thought I was immature collecting all the toys and memorabilia I collect at 44 years old. I thought I'd have to give them up soon then I saw Lawler's at his age, so I guess I'll keep it all.
@tritchie62722 жыл бұрын
If for some strange reason Lawler decided to sell all of his, it would probably bring a fortune. Yours might be worth some cash as well if you ever need or decide to sell. I'm doing some guess work here, I don't know for sure.

The match that got me hooked on rasslin was Jerry Jarrett/Jackie Fargo vs Jerry Lawler/Jim White w Sam Bass for the Southern tag titles on Saturday morning TV. Lawler, White and Bass beat Jarrett to a bloody pulp, you can't get that on tv today. I didn't know there was other territories other than thru the magazines until I moved to FL in '79 and found FCW.

Gerald Briscoe is correct about the Soup Nazi. He was in two episodes - 'The Soup Nazi' and 'The Finale'. It's a smaller part in The Finale, where he appears in order to testify against Jerry and co., so it's easier to forget.
