A tremendous performance from the Killer! I saw him only a few days later, (or was it before?) at an outside festival in Blountville, TN., which is right outside of Bristol, the official birthplace of Country Music. Kenny Lovelace signed my book Hellfire for me, and I got to watch Jerry Lee pull up in a dust cloud and get out of his rented limo before I was pushed back to a more remote position. I later talked the limo driver, a female, online on a fan page. She said he was really nice, tipped her well, and enjoyed his company on the ride over. But his rider in his contract required a case of Budweiser beer, and a fifth of Jack Daniels to be waiting in the limo on ice, which he drank half of on the short 10 miles drive from the airport, lol. George Jones had canceled out that day as a co-headliner, so Jerry Lee played extra long to give the fans what they wanted for their money. He never stumbled, or mumbled over a lyric one time, and truly rocked that place 'til everyone's hair was stuck to their heads in sweat!

I shouted to him " kick the stool, Jer " in a show in Oslo. And he did. Love it when he does that. Like here. 😃
