There is no way this scene actually happened this way. First, what kind of criminals tuck their shirts and have nice clothes. Second, there is a live show of this song and those people were really going crazy. Third, no way a woman dances like that in a bar and doesnt get at least graped.

In spite of all the negative comments at the time this will stand up as a great film, [incidentally the only one ever made when the subject was still living], Denis Quade was superb, McBride directed beautifully, [apart from the obvious cut in the store scene] altogether a film I still enjoy even today.

+Rochelle Eskue Those critics probably never realized that the way he showed Jerry Lee, is on target. Jerry was a weird acting bird, he has such a peculiar way of carrying himself, I always wondered it if has autism or something. Go find some 50's interviews. Dennis comes off as kinda campy sometimes in here, instead of weirdly autistic.
@RochelleEskue8 жыл бұрын
Chuck.Raney Raney: You do have something here. Until, I saw one of those old appearances ( you did mention ) that JLL made on a variety show 40+ years ago, I was under the impression that DQ was just acting way over-the-top, exaggerating Jerry's personality..

The irony is that parents of the time thought rock 'n' roll music was too raunchy and sexual. Their kids loved it, and grew up to be the parents (and some grandparents) who thought disco was too raunchy and sexual. Don't even get those 50's kids turned 80's parents who think rap and hip hop is too raunchy and sexual. Each generation has its limits to musical style. My parents belonged to the kids of the Jerry Lee Lewis generation who now look down on rap music. Lol
@fiberrabit82295 жыл бұрын
I didnt even grow up back then but im gonna end up like the 50s kids, greaser, love the music and cars, and see these times as terrible for style, music, cars and stuff. I feel like an old man bickering about the new stuff lmao.
