I remember watching this In the 90s as a kid. My siblings and I would rewind the scene where his chair broke and he slid through the plain laughing. I'm sure my parents got tired of it by the 30th rewind.

I agree with you Nanette! Jerry brought me so much laughter and joy as a kid - his movies were an integral part of my childhood. To this day, I am a fan of his comedic genius. It's really sad that we lost him, but at least he lived a long and amazingly productive life.

IT IS a Ford Tri-Motor. . .And this very plane is STILL FLYING. . .it's owned by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and was fully restored by them. . .They fly it around the country to show it and they even offer rides in it. . .I saw it about 2 years ago at a small airport in Newton, Kansas just north of Wichita. . .I was able to go inside and take as many pictures as I wanted. . .Even got up in the cockpit to take photos. . .They have a plaque on the passenger entry door detailing the history of this plane, and it includes that it was the plane used in this movie. . .

I don't know if it's true but I read that ony the french find him funny. His films have very rarely appeared on UK tv in recent years. Never been my cup of tea his loud goofyness can come across as mugging. I don't think he understood that sometimes underplaying is the best option.
