He got his start in an Alfred Hitchcock Movie THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY co-starring Joh Forsythe, Edmund Gwenn, Mildred Natwick and INTRODUCING Shirley MacLaine. (1955) He was seven that year and I was five. LEAVE IT TO BEAVER debuted two years later.

I can totally relate. I’m 59. I also suffer from depression. Being disabled doesn’t help. I used to watch the reruns of Leave It to Beaver almost everyday when I was a kid. Today, I stream a lot of stuff with Hulu and Netflix…and Amazon. Right now I’m rewatching. “Family Ties” which was an 80s favorite of mine that I used to watch in college. Sometimes these old shows really bring back a lot of great memories.

Still one of my go-to shows, two episodes every day on MeTV. One thing I love is that the show reflects the social structure at the time for middle-to-upper middle class families: Ward going to work every day in a suit, June with her pearls and dresses, the perfect house, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and ‘may I be excused?’ when meals were done. A true glimpse of US history is still available every day at 8:00 AM.

ikr? the only thing that I don't think was totally accurate was the wives doing all the housework while dressed up, but they did dress up before their husbands came home from work. I think it was 1966. We were on a family vacation going to North Carolina. We stopped at Six gun territory in Ocala on the way up to North Carolina. When we were there we learned Jerry was there signing autographs. Somewhere I should have the picture of my mother and me at the table with Jerry. I was 6 years old at the time. Somewhere in our family possessions we should still have the picture of Jerry that he autographed. I guess we were there at the same time Wanda. I ditto what the other comments are saying about Jerry being a super nice guy. He is the only celebrity that I have ever received an autograph from. Glad to see that you're still doing good. I wish many more years of good health for you.

He's on my tv everyday on FETV. My favorite episode is when Beaver gets a haircut and Wally tries to fix it. They wear stocking hats to dinner😂

My family and I watched the show every Saturday night . I happened to be in the same grade in school as the Beaver . I now enjoy the reruns . What a great time to grow up in ! We went outside to play after school and on the weekends without parent's supervision . My Mom used Beaver as a learning lesson ... not to let people talk you into doing something that you weren't allowed to do ! I have so say I love the show as much now as Senior Citizen as I did as a kid !

Fellow Senior Citizen here, and I still get a kick out of watching Leave it to Beaver reruns. It also reminds me that TV when I was a kid was WAY better than the dreck they show nowadays, as was life in general. Thank goodness for reruns!

I LOVE Jerry Mathers! Always Have. Always Will. I remember watching Leave It To Beaver as a real little kid and then the re-runs all these years. I would love to see him in person, chat and get an autograph. Such A Nice Guy - And STILL as Cute as Ever! 👍🤗😍
