@Sinister ones Alucard No one likes to run through that much traffic to get hit but if you go to the middle to catch the ball Rice says that's a different story. Rice ran across the middle plenty to either catch a pass or get another guy open. There is a difference.

One concepts are designed plays to stress a defense running a certain coverage. you can't just have guys run any route they want to and expect to be able to hit them in timing and rhythm you'll get your QB killed before he can read an open man. they run cover three run all goes someone is bound to be open. run a post in concept and get the safety to choose to cover either the deep route or the under route. run a flood concept so many different ways to beat different defenses and you act like Jerry never ran a route that got John Taylor open for the go ahead score in a SB game. You really have no idea how the West Coast offense works. Jerry even said you have to be able to go over the middle in the NFL top 100 videos. I don't see how any receiver makes a living if they are afraid to go over the middle.

Definitely agree with the Joe Montana being better... I'm sorry but 4-0 is better than 6-3. Not saying that perfection is better because then people would argue that Foles is better than Brady because he's 1-0. Its multiple times to the SB with perfection, multiple times where the QB won the game. That is also where Montana is better than Brady. How many of Brady's wins came down to the leg of the kicker to win it or the defense making a goal line stand. Montana took the game over and won them. Hell I don't know the exact stats but has Montana even thrown a pick in the Super Bowl? Brady has for sure, but I don't remember any picks by Montana.

What you and other idiots always leave out is the Montana 49ers didn’t have to deal with free agency and the salary cap. You could stack teams without dealing with the cap. Free agency and the cap is designed to create parody so that everyone has a chance every year. The fact that the Pats had to deal with that and Brady didn’t have the weapons that Montana had. The AFC was also wasn’t even in the same league as the NFC back then. Did you leave all of that out intentionally or you’re an idiot? Which is it?
