It isn't non-sensical, you just need to go out and live a bit more. You are approaching it assuming humans act in a rational way, but they are exploring exactly how social expectations distort our perceptions and make us see thing very irrationally. Not only her entourage gave him reasons to believe she is flawed (he was doing a favor), and humans are attracted to those who project value (real or not), but Seinfeld also has some complex where if his parents enjoy something, he doesn't want anything with it. He loves his parents, but he doesn't want to end up like them, that's a huge part of his personality, he doesn't want to go with the married with children life and does everything to sabotage it (multiple dates that always break up in absurd ways). Yes it is satire, but the non-sense is precisely how we distort things instead of seeing with our own truth. Like most of Seinfeld episodes, it's a satirical comment on our own quirks and flaws. And a perfectly fine woman (or man) who was rejected due to social expectations (positive by some and negative by others) is a very common dynamic.
@VideoAmericanStyleАй бұрын
@@jaguatiricaimediata5305exactly. That was the whole premise of the show - to show how actual human beings often act, irrational and neurotic in their own ways. Admittedly exaggerated for comedic effect, but the underlying motivations are relatable to many of us.
